Trump State Visit

Agh! Just heard on Newsdrive (Radio Scotland) that government in Westminster is inviting Trump for a State visit. I'm not a monarchist but what has poor Liz done to deserve this?

Trump as guest at Buck House or Windsor just defies belief. Having listened to his rants on radio Scotland on the Menie and Troon it's going to be unreal, even surreal.

Oh, that's unpleasant. It will be the full deal, including an address to both Houses of Parliament.

Happy Days!

Yeh.

A great opportunity to shout "wanker" at him in the street !

They ought to meet him in Scotland where his business interests are, invite him to shoot grouse with Philip. Give Phil a few jars…

Jesus. We really are doing this in style, aren't we?

Christ. I miss 2016.

bossab2 - 18 Jan 2017 17:55:16 (#8 of 1124)

There must be a massive security cost attached to this - given that Trump has already pissed off a lot of people...

1OffManMental - 18 Jan 2017 17:56:37 (#9 of 1124)

I think there already is though.

May has just made me feel something rare - pity for royalty.

Time to start googling up all the stuff the brexit brigade said about TTIP as part of their project fear.

I presumed the header was about the renaming of the US.

For every presidential visit I mean.

A simple 'wanker' would be good, but better would be 'You don't know what you're doing' or 'Who's the bastard in the wig?'

Brunothecat - 18 Jan 2017 18:01:32 (#16 of 1124)

"Do one, baldy"

Peacock - 18 Jan 2017 18:01:53 (#17 of 1124)

No I think 'wanker' is perfect and it's very English

Brunothecat - 18 Jan 2017 18:03:20 (#18 of 1124)

There's got to be a risk he'll start twittering pics of his knob though.

Vendor - 18 Jan 2017 18:04:31 (#19 of 1124)

Or Mr Farage, as he used to be called.

xDiggy - 18 Jan 2017 18:05:40 (#20 of 1124)

Is this true though? Doesn't seem to be anywhere else. Have they conflated 'visit' with 'State Visit'?
