Can't delete programme from Sky planner and it's sending me mad!

I have a programme that I recorded on catch-up but which has just expired. Although I can't play it, I can't seem to be able to delete it from my planner either. It lets me click on delete and then on confirm, but just won't then delete it. It's only a silly thing, but it annoys me, still sitting in my planner. Has anyone any help? (I have Sky Q and had previously pressed "keep" on the series to stop the progs being deleted by mistake, but now they've expired have deleted them all but this one.)

You've tried switching off and then rebooting of course?

Yup. No dice.

If a young girl with long black hair starts crawling out of your TV screen, run as fast as you can.

I know nothing about Sky, but we've had similar with our Tivo a couple of times - both resolved themseleves after a few recordings each side had been deleted.

Do you have a Deleted tab? Go in and see if it's there, if so undelete and then go back and delete it.

I had similar problem on Sky+ box. I found that the “rebuild” function sorted it out. I assume there’s something similar on a Q box

Instructions for sky+ box below not sure if Q box has same menu structure but you might find them helpful if it does

Please note: This won’t delete any previous recordings, but may interrupt recordings in progress.

Press services on your Sky remote, highlight help and press select.Highlight Sky+ Rebuild and select.Press select after you see the onscreen message. The Planner rebuild may take up to four minutes before switching off and back on again.Wait three minutes after the red standby light has appeared, then press sky on your remote control. When the power light on your Sky box changes to green, try using your Planner to record and view recordings.

My advice for all problems related to Sky products or services: use a sledgehammer.

It won't fix you problem but it will make you feel better.

Is that your testimony?

No that's my advice. Which is why I said: "My advice..."

My testimony will come later, when they call in the doctors.
