Fact-checking Tools

Can anyone recommend any easy-to-use online fact-checking tools for everyday use?

I've only just discovered there are such things. They seem like a good idea.

I find snopes.com pretty good at rebuffing Facebook woo.

That sort of thing?

Yes, snopes is an example I don't use nearly enough.

JtT is another, full of fact-checking activity.

I have no idea what others there are, oh, apart from the Beeb and Channel 4 fact-checking depts. I just assume there might be others that JtTers use or know about.

#8 For some reason that site made me feel uneasy.

I type 'fact check' followed by what I want to check in my browser. Not bothering with dubious sources for information reduces fact checking too.

uranrising - 29 Jul 2020 20:02:00 (#14 of 16)

Quite, Mia. Obviously one would want to avoid dubious sources of information.

The Brexit campaign had a fact checking thingy, didn't they?

Alex Jones, Prison Planet (??)
