Bonjour, BienPourquoiNon

jellytussle - 26 Jul 2011 08:58:29 (#2 of 6918)

Hello JD, I have nothing to discuss at the moment

JDW70Wellwhynot - 26 Jul 2011 09:05:04 (#3 of 6918)

Can anyone please tell me exactly what these are indicating since the car has undergone its first CT here:

DEMI-TRAIN AV (y compris ancrage): Jeu importante ou anormal rotule et/ou articulation (INFG,INFD)

From my understanding of his explanation I need to replace the ball joints right and left, but before I order I need to be sure.

I also need to replace a tyre but not usure sur l'essieu but not the axle which translation seems to indicate?

JDW70Wellwhynot - 26 Jul 2011 09:07:20 (#4 of 6918)

I'm always needing help so this this thread has been needed since the demise of the last.

Great Tour, eh, jelly.

JDW70Wellwhynot - 26 Jul 2011 09:08:55 (#5 of 6918)

And now I am on my way get the dog it's rabies vaccine so I can get her a passport.

jellytussle - 26 Jul 2011 09:14:09 (#6 of 6918)

Are you pro or anti wolf? I am pro wolf, mind its mostly cattle round here, very few sheep

lordwoody - 26 Jul 2011 09:38:30 (#7 of 6918)

My daughter and her boyfriend are off on Saturday for 2 weeks in our French house, first time anyone has stayed in it for 60 years. They've got a lot of cleaning to do.

JDW70Wellwhynot - 26 Jul 2011 10:47:51 (#8 of 6918)

Are you pro or anti wolf?

What are you referring to exactly? Is it that the wolf carries rabies?

You're certain it's still there, woody? And where is 'there'?

manlee - 26 Jul 2011 10:49:48 (#9 of 6918)

And now I am on my way get the dog it's rabies vaccine so I can get her a passport.

Be careful with that. You need the rabies shot and antibody test six months beforehand and a booster before you go (plus an anti-tick treatment 24-48 hours before going) IIRC.

Junebug - 26 Jul 2011 10:56:25 (#10 of 6918)

so many French things to discuss: the move to the far right of most of our politicians, the fact that gay couple still can't adopt (parents should be a man and a woman married apparently, nothing else will do), the tour won by an Australian, french bureaucracy (I need a passport number to buy a prepaid sim card?!), etc.

I am pro-wolf.

Junebug - 26 Jul 2011 10:57:04 (#11 of 6918)

and 'its' rabies vaccin ffs!

JDW70Wellwhynot - 26 Jul 2011 11:22:48 (#12 of 6918)

I'm not too genned up on the political situation here only that Sarky isn't very popular. And I understand there are many candidates in the struggle as to who will lead the Parti Socialiste.

manlee - 26 Jul 2011 11:31:50 (#13 of 6918)

Well, DSK would have been the obvious choice and would probably have beaten Sarkozy. Obviously, that's no longer possible (how handy...). I can't see any of the others doing well.

kentigern - 26 Jul 2011 11:45:47 (#14 of 6918)

Why doesn't Amazon.fr have Kindle books, eh, eh?

jellytussle - 26 Jul 2011 11:56:36 (#15 of 6918)

It does

kentigern - 26 Jul 2011 12:02:35 (#16 of 6918)

I'm feeling really thick then but I can only see a handful when I look. Is there a special cache that I'm missing? (I mean books in French, not English - hell I can get them anywhere.)

jellytussle - 26 Jul 2011 12:06:35 (#17 of 6918)

You have to follow the link to the Kindle site, there are not that many in French yet

kentigern - 26 Jul 2011 12:08:49 (#18 of 6918)

Ah, so not missing anything. You got my hopes up there, jelly.

jellytussle - 26 Jul 2011 14:10:41 (#19 of 6918)

There is also a copyright issue with a lot of English language ones if you try to order from Amazon UK

kentigern - 26 Jul 2011 14:18:52 (#20 of 6918)

These things can be... worked around.

But June's already told me off for that.
