Hundred for rubbish Chris Gayle. 58 balls and 11 sixes.

His 21st rubbish hundred in T20. Three times as many as any other batsman to play this form of the game.

Five ball threes, indeed.

fogger - 19 Apr 2018 17:12:20 (#42 of 98)

He's probably played three times as many games as everyone else.

djsuggz - 19 Apr 2018 17:13:20 (#43 of 98)

A lot, certainly.

Cracking hitting tonight.

kalva44 - 19 Apr 2018 18:28:14 (#44 of 98)

100 ball matches?

fogger - 19 Apr 2018 18:36:36 (#45 of 98)

Christ.

cozzer - 19 Apr 2018 18:37:01 (#46 of 98)

England have been testing that out this winter.

djsuggz - 19 Apr 2018 19:00:54 (#47 of 98)

Sunrisers’ unbeaten record going tonight.

I have always thought that the BCCI were the most cricket-ignorant and incompetent board in the world.. really having to change my mind now. What makes it incomprehensible is that the ECB have a guy in the corridors of power in Andrew Strauss who knows so much more about cricket and its nuances.. most Boards mostly have politicians or businessmen who know crap-all about cricket!

100 ball matches?

Just been reading about that. Not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Vic Marks is unimpressed:

I LOL'd a few times reading the comments on this, as readers competed to come up with the most ludicrous gimmick to add to the '100 balls' thing. I think my favourite is

batsmen dismissed for a duck to be forced to actually quack like a duck as they walk off

Also the idea that after each ball of the 10-ball final over, a member of the fielding side is removed, so that when the final ball is bowled only the bowler and wicketkeeper are still on the field.

Or teams to have a joker, so that runs count double for an over.

etc, etc

None of it really any more ludicrous than what the ECB are apparently seriously suggesting.

Watson off to a flyer with CSK this afternoon. 48 off the first four overs.

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 16:29:47 (#52 of 98)

Watson 82 off 39 so far.

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 16:31:37 (#53 of 98)

19 off that over.

CSK 150/2 off 13 overs. Looking at a score in the 220-240 range.

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 16:44:08 (#54 of 98)

Watson 91* from 45

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 16:44:55 (#55 of 98)

Four down now. Dhoni and Billings go in quick succession.

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 16:53:08 (#56 of 98)

99* for Watson.

175/4

Three overs to come.

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 16:54:39 (#57 of 98)

Century off 51 balls.

djsuggz - 20 Apr 2018 17:09:51 (#58 of 98)

Out on the penultimate ball for 106.

Only just crept past 200 in the end. 202/5 with a ball to come. Jadeja gets a couple and 204 final total.

Buttler and Stokes will get the chance to chase it down, shortly.

djsuggz - 24 Apr 2018 19:01:39 (#59 of 98)

Good game tonight. Sunrisers knocked over for 118, but now have Mumbai 80/8 off 16.

djsuggz - 24 Apr 2018 19:08:41 (#60 of 98)

81/9
