Remembering Srebrenica (Live Event @ 8pm).

It's 25 years since 8,000 Bosnian's were massacred.

The UK chairty Remembering Srebrenica is hosting a live event to mark it via Twitter and Facebook.

The start time has been pushed back to 8pm.

This event has always stuck with me because it played out live on TV in my lifetime as the culminating event of the Death of Yugoslavia.

It also showed the abject failiure of the UN and Western Powers to live up to their purported ideals.

More than any other event this forged my political outlook.

Aye. We had the authority and power to act and while it did provoke a more robust approach that helped end the conflict it should never have been allowed to happen.
