What are your five favourite David Hemmings films?

I can tell this thread will be a winner.

1. Blow Up, 2. Unman, Wittering and Zigo, 3. Fragment of Fear, 4. Barbarella, 5. Last Orders.

I see he made an album in 1967 with Roger McGuinn of the Byrds on guitar.

Hemmings is somewhere in this - Mr Quilp, with Anthony Newley! (A Reader’s Digest Film).

I liked Charge of the Light Brigade and Barbarella, didn't like Blow Up. I don't remember seeing him in anything else.

lapsedcat - 11 Jun 2020 19:58:23 (#9 of 45)

Huge flyaway eyebrows in Gladiator of course

solomongursky - 11 Jun 2020 20:22:44 (#11 of 45)

Juggernaut's shit.

But who is that chick dancing in the stripy trousers?

A certain Janet Bull, wonder what happened to her? Terrible dancer.

ReverendBlueJeans - 11 Jun 2020 22:07:12 (#13 of 45)

Juggernaut's brilliant.

No votes yet for Camelot.

You seen Live it Up or Be My Guest Shadders?

Stevie Marriott turns up and it’s all generally a gas

Shadrack22 - 12 Jun 2020 00:17:16 (#18 of 45)

I’ve seen Be My Guest, but not the other one.

sympforthedevil - 12 Jun 2020 00:20:45 (#19 of 45)

I was going to say that I quite liked the 1968 film version of 'The Seagull' with Hemmings as the young, aspiring playwright and then I checked and found that I'd mixed up his name with David Warner's again.

sympforthedevil - 12 Jun 2020 00:22:10 (#20 of 45)

So my suggestion of 'The Man with Two Brains' (which I don't actually like that much, anyway) is also a non-starter.
