And what constitutes one in your house. Scots, Irish, Welsh and English variations please, with added commonwealth sauce.
I am going to attempt to source ingredients this evening for a fry up tomorrow.
Typo in header, mods please take me out and shoot me, or else kindly remedy please ta thanks.
Agreed. Tomatoes, eggs and mushrooms should be easy enough to find. Decent smokey bacon and Lincolnshire sausage less so. The Ulster sliced sausage would go well but not much chance of finding that either.
You can disregard the view of anyone who goes on about mushrooms.
Fried bubble and squeak, sorted.
- fried egg
- bacon
- sos
- beans (must not touch egg)
- fried slice
- mush
- MOAR fried egg
- pudding, black
- pudding, white
- toast
- hash browns. Yeah.
Fried tomatoes could go on that plate too, with a dash of Worcester sauce and a side dash of some sort of pepper sauce.
I actually prefer tinned tomatoes for a fry up, the fried bread soaks up the juices.
You also need slices of white bread to make impromptu sandwiches out of the components. Baked bean and black pudding, or fried egg and black pudding, are particularly good.
Sometimes when you get a FBB you get that heavy black bread with it. It's ok.
I can hardly wait for Bill's contribution, come on auld lad!
I like tinned tomatoes on toast with a load of bacon, but there's far too much danger of them touching the eggs in a FBB, even with sausage barriers.
In fact, I would go further, I LOVE tinned tomatoes on toast with a load of bacon, also known as old man's dinner.
