Found it!

Sabacious - 23 Apr 2021 11:37:10 (#2 of 340)

Hooray!

First question: what shall I have for lunch?

elderberry - 23 Apr 2021 11:40:02 (#3 of 340)

Yay, shiny zippy new thread.

elderberry - 23 Apr 2021 11:40:58 (#4 of 340)

My lunch will be camembert on crackers, with lettuce and cucumber. And an apple. And much tea.

Following on a thing on RTÉ radio yesterday I've been seeing how I'm doing on eating 30 different plant-based foods a week. The interviewee said herbs and spices count, and I'm assuming drinks do as well, so it seems fairly easy - though better in summer with a garden. Good for ones gut, allegedly.

I have some lovely melty Greek cheese to fry up, and a rhubarb and star anise chutney to have with it.

We're also trying to eat up the leftovers stuff in the freezer, so I have a bit of hake (bought four fillets, used three recently) for later on, which is going to be served on a bed of buttery leeks, with new potatoes. Airy has a fish PIE from the same source, and has peas and asparagus to go with.

My later on will be cheese soufflé and I intend to add maximum plants to the side salad.

The old thread has been locked and a link to this one included in the header.

WibbleAgain - 23 Apr 2021 12:21:55 (#9 of 340)

Thanks, Mods.

Catspyjamas17 - 23 Apr 2021 12:23:39 (#10 of 340)

New and fast! I hope we can keep the access to the old thread as it has lots of advice from old posters on there and goes back ten years. Here's to another ten years!

Lagopus - 23 Apr 2021 12:24:33 (#11 of 340)

The old thread chicken has been locked and a link of sausages to this one included in the head-cheese.

Catspyjamas17 - 23 Apr 2021 12:25:22 (#12 of 340)

I had smoked mackerel with eggs, asparagus and spinach for brunch. Wagamamas (probably) for dinner. Sorry, not much cooking there.

Have sorted out my password conundrum. Will ask Mods to include the old JtT thread link in the header.

JennyRad - 23 Apr 2021 12:42:33 (#14 of 340)

It's already in there.

Sabacious - 23 Apr 2021 12:43:36 (#15 of 340)

That's the NTT one.

JennyRad - 23 Apr 2021 12:43:52 (#16 of 340)

Oh, sorry, I see what you mean!

Bodgit - 23 Apr 2021 15:11:22 (#17 of 340)

Clams and chorizo for lunch. Friday’s my non-working day, so I branch out from the soup/salad/bread and cheese we usually have for weekday lunches. I either do things that the girls don’t particularly like, like sichuan aubergines, or stuff that’s too nice to share.

Zymurgy1 - 23 Apr 2021 15:30:02 (#18 of 340)

Why mix processed pork products with seafood?

Snarlygog - 23 Apr 2021 15:39:28 (#19 of 340)

Ummi overload - Chorizo is an excellent companion to sea food.

Zymurgy1 - 23 Apr 2021 15:50:49 (#20 of 340)

No, it’s not

If you don’t like the taste of seafood, don’t eat it. Don’t mix it with something completely different to change the flavour
