How are you defining chain? Côte is pretty good - but it’s a restaurant not a sandwich shop.

McDonald's.

Itsu is pretty nice

Ooh I like Itsu. I wish they did more fish than just salmon or tuna. I love mackersl sushi.

fogger - 14 Aug 2021 21:05:36 (#9 of 148)

KFC.

Burger King Whoppers are actually nice.

M&S

Tortilla may be a good call. One in Camden served up good nosh if I remember correctly.

Itsu and Wasabi are both good. A Vegan burger chain would get my vote, locally we have both Vegan Vice and Doppelganger which I can recommend.

I haven't seen a Burger King in years. It used to be go to food when drunkenly catching the last train home as they were always in stations.

Côte and Itsu are good calls. As well as the restaurants, Côte have done a wonderful delivery service through the 'demic (the confit duck is excellent) and the Itsu frozen range (gyoza, ramen, bao) is great for WFH lunches.

Cote was the venue of one of my better work Christmas dos. Three decent courses for £25 and really good service.

I’ve used Côte at home several times during lockdown. It’s been fabulous.

popstar7 - 14 Aug 2021 21:22:11 (#18 of 148)

I've always liked Burger King. They had a deal for a basic double cheeseburger for £1.49 for a while that was a bargain. The looks of disbelief when you hand the burger back to them and ask them to make it actually hot, though. I can't believe so many people eat barely warm burgers with not even remotely melted cheese on them. Gross.

fogger - 14 Aug 2021 21:22:13 (#19 of 148)

Krispy Kreme.

I was very impressed with Cote at Home, more so than I have been going to an actual Cote. Good food and generous amount of it.
