And leave Cavani to the cradle of hayt!

ASDA do the best ground coffee of any of the big 5 or 6. There, I said it.

moto748 - 15 Aug 2021 19:04:57 (#3 of 220)

Could you be more precise, phantlers?

Does any supermarket do good stuffed vine leaves ?:

both Waitrose & M&S are poor and expensive. If you want cheap stuffed vine leaves, go to a Turkish or Mid-East grocer where they have them in tins for 25% of the price.

I suppose the best thing is to find a Turkish takeaway that makes their own.

Waitrose teriyaki salmon. Four skewers of delicious coated salmon chunks. 13 minutes on 180. Goes perfectly with jasmine rice. It’s my new favourite supper.

It's all going a bit mental on Cavani.

Oi larfed and Oi larfed and Oi larfed.

AlanII - 15 Aug 2021 18:32:03 (#8 of 220)

Are we decamping here?

Lawlsie - 15 Aug 2021 19:48:08 (#9 of 220)

Aldi filter coffee is the best and half the price of similar products.

FleurDuMal - 15 Aug 2021 19:52:47 (#10 of 220)

Morrison’s do some amazing dark chocolate and stem ginger cookies.

barkis - 15 Aug 2021 19:52:55 (#11 of 220)

I prefer Morrisons "High Fibre" to "All Bran", which I find too sweet.

AlanII - 15 Aug 2021 18:53:51 (#12 of 220)

A Portuguese acquaintance pointed me in the direction of Delta Platinum. It's rather good. I have no idea if it's available in Aldi, it wouldn't surprise me.

M&S single original dark chocolate - Peruvian 85% - is delicious, if that counts.

But what about beans?

Most supermarket coffee is over-roasted. Sometimes I have a hiatus waiting for my little roaster in the Cotswold to offer me my 15% discount so I have to slum it.

Morrisons's Italian Style (strength 4) is palatable and competitively priced. They also do a burnt one (strength 5) for the same price for people with no tastebuds or sense of decorum.

It does. Thanks. Marks Made Without chocolate is very nice too.

Asda's pizzas rock.

If you like diet Coke, Tesco's 50p stuff is well worth trying.

hailesaladdie - 15 Aug 2021 22:21:22 (#17 of 220)

Sainsbo's Italian Wood-Fired pizzas, which have been around for a couple of decades, are ace.

tasselhoff - 15 Aug 2021 22:33:49 (#18 of 220)

They'd be getting a bit stale by now.

Cavewoman - 15 Aug 2021 22:57:21 (#19 of 220)

Agreed about the Sainsbo's wood-fired pizzas. I've only recently discovered them and they're excellent - the only ready-made pizzas I'd buy. Plus they do half-sized ones - perfect for me.

SinnerBoy - 15 Aug 2021 22:02:46 (#20 of 220)

Morrisons do their own brand coffee at £1.25. Far better than the benzene / toluene flavoured shite on sale in Walmart UK.

Or whoever owns ASBO now
