Delia's recipe for success

'Canaries flying high' and other lame phrases will no doubt be dragged out again by the media. But do we care? No, we are Premier League.

Oh and Lambert is God.

Aye, well done Norwich.

solomongursky - 03 May 2011 00:22:44 (#2 of 275)

PL=PL

Paul Lambert equals Premier League.

OTBC

CheBoludo - 03 May 2011 00:24:41 (#3 of 275)

Aye. Well done Norwich. Lambert's done a cracking job. Must be the Championship manager of the season.

Moschops - 03 May 2011 07:18:20 (#4 of 275)

Great stuff Norwich, my Mum gets the EDP so I read a fair bit about them when I'm up there. Lambert has done brilliantly.

solomongursky - 03 May 2011 10:20:59 (#5 of 275)

The gRAUNIAD get Simeon's goals wrong and call Norwich a town:

tsmouth-norwich-city-championship

usual weak pun headline.

bigdave82 - 03 May 2011 10:25:28 (#6 of 275)

Well done the Norwich. Always been a fine club and Lambert has put himself in the frame for the biggest jobs after taking them here from the all-time low of 1-7 v Colchester

Moschops - 03 May 2011 10:32:18 (#7 of 275)

He was the Colchester manager for that game wasn't he?

bigdave82 - 03 May 2011 10:46:44 (#8 of 275)

Yes

sparafucile - 03 May 2011 10:50:16 (#9 of 275)

That's why they hired him, IIRC.

sparafucile - 03 May 2011 10:51:01 (#10 of 275)

Tenner says Barney Ronay mentions Norwich playing Bayern Munich in the next piece he writes about them.

bigdave82 - 03 May 2011 10:51:53 (#11 of 275)

I'll put in a tenner as well. No-one on Earth is stupid enough to cover this bet

sparafucile - 03 May 2011 11:02:44 (#12 of 275)

That game is as big a cliche in Norwich journalism as the Valencia CL semifinal is when writing about Lids.

RankBajin - 03 May 2011 11:17:29 (#13 of 275)

Lambert was a cracking player for Celtic and I'm really pleased his managerial career is going well.

Moschops - 03 May 2011 11:22:44 (#14 of 275)

JEREMY GOSS!

bigdave82 - 03 May 2011 11:33:55 (#15 of 275)

REMEMBER THE 90's! RHYTHM IS A DANCER!

FreddyMalins - 03 May 2011 13:49:58 (#16 of 275)

Lambert is following in the great tradition of Scottish managers dominating English football. A great Celtic player and captain. Still a hero at Dortmund too.

Tadagee - 03 May 2011 14:07:27 (#17 of 275)

Am i right in thinking that Norwich are only the second team (after Citeh) to get back to back promotions into the prem?

Looks like Cardiff have got the jitters yet again although depending on what happens to QPR it might not matter.

Not that I care about such things but I think Reading must be favorite for the playoffs.

Moschops - 03 May 2011 14:09:36 (#18 of 275)

Think you're right Tada, but expect it had been done before when it was the ancient history of the pre Premiership period. In fact did Swansea go from 4th to 1st in 4 seasons?

sparafucile - 03 May 2011 14:09:48 (#19 of 275)

Lids can still make it, Tada. Have faith.

sparafucile - 03 May 2011 14:10:01 (#20 of 275)

Didn't Wimbledon do it?
