Last time I saw Bournemouth play was at the start of the 2009/10 season, and it was memorable as Rochdale put on one of the best away performances I have seen from them to win 4-0, and avenge Bournemouth's defeat of us at Scotland by the same score at the end of the previous season. Didn't manage to get the next few games between us before the return of Eddie Howe and the cash injection saw you rocket up the table.

My eldest kid's best friend at school's Dad is a Bournemouth fan though, a season ticket holder who has been making the trip down from North London pretty consistently for a good few years now, so I am predisposed to wish you well for the coming season. The Burnley connection notwithstanding, I think Eddie Howe is a great manager who plays good football so it would also be good to see him do well.

I'm glad the thread is properly named The AFC Bournemouth Thread to save any confusion with Bournemouth F.C.

Well, good to see the new offside law properly enforced. Coutinho actually attempted to make contact with the ball from a four yard offside position, missed and it fell to Benteke who stuck it in. So much for "showing an obvious movement towards the ball that distracts an opponent" being now offside.

Couple that with a pretty harshly disallowed opener from Bournemouth and I think they're entitled to feel pretty hard done by.

You mean refereeing decisions favoured Liverpool? At Anfield?

Moschops - 18 Aug 2015 09:20:19 (#20 of 43)

Bomo will be down by March, Liverpool may actually need those points to get in the Europa League.

CloakAndDagger - 18 Aug 2015 10:06:37 (#21 of 43)

Hmm, possibly. I have a feeling they'll do better than the instant relegation most have predicted for them.

CloakAndDagger - 18 Aug 2015 10:06:58 (#22 of 43)

Oh, and Bournemouth will be ok too, etc etc.

MadamGeorge - 18 Aug 2015 10:42:30 (#23 of 43)

Will you be here all week, C&D? And what do you think of the veal?

fogger - 18 Aug 2015 17:54:27 (#24 of 43)

TalkSport wondering why BoMo aren't playing Distin after signing him. Seems a bit odd.

FalseSummit - 18 Aug 2015 18:25:50 (#25 of 43)

TalkSport are always odd, even on a good day.

SlasherBindman - 18 Aug 2015 19:39:49 (#26 of 43)

Good luck!

whereas most 37 year old outfield players are certain starters

fogger - 18 Aug 2015 21:17:28 (#28 of 43)

The suggestion was that BoMo are persistjng with their League One back out of sentiment, and should man the fuck up and act like an EPL team. By playing lots of overpaid Johnny Foreigners in the twilight of their careers.

Worked for QPR.
