Q2 typo is Flunk's fault.

fogger - 15 Jan 2016 10:35:40 (#2 of 97)

Brou's is better.

milhouse - 15 Jan 2016 10:35:46 (#3 of 97)

1. Strangely, probably Ronnie Barker's.

2. Cribbins.

3. Don't care.

4. Together in Electric Dreams

5. My parents' cat. Lucky little bugger.

BrouTwo - 15 Jan 2016 10:36:24 (#4 of 97)

I deleted mine, fogger.

dreams99 - 15 Jan 2016 10:39:22 (#5 of 97)

1. Maybe Bowie's.

2. All of them are dead now.

3. Cremated.

4. If you're happy and you know it clap your hands.

5. A lion. Raaaar.

MadamGeorge - 15 Jan 2016 10:41:33 (#6 of 97)

1. John Lennon. I suspect this is because I, like the rest of us, was a lot younger then. I think I have got more used to death as I've got older.

2. I really don't want to read of Springsteen's death.

3. Cremated. My Father said that he didn't want to wake up in a box buried 6 feet underground, and I have rather bought into that idea.

4. Born To Run.

5. I can't do these sort of questions, sorry, lack of imagination.

surferboogiewhatever - 15 Jan 2016 10:42:04 (#7 of 97)

1. Gary Moore

2. If adolescence counts, Ritchie Blackmore, the miserable old git

3. Buried, and a rowan tree planted over me

4. Komm grosser schwarzer Vogel by Ludwig Hirsch

5. I think I'll be a seal. You get to lie around on the beach all day and bite people when you feel like it.

Flunkadelic - 15 Jan 2016 10:43:15 (#8 of 97)

1. Terry Pratchett - loved his books, made me feel thoroughly mortal

2. Mr Attenborough for the passing of a veritable giant or Brian Cant

3. Cremated - then ashes placed in a giant firework to be set off in the middle of the night to annoy people for one last time

4. Kings Horses by Jet

5. Stud animal

1. Whose celebrity death affected you the most?

Possibly River Phoenix because it seemed ridiculous that someone that young could be a Dead Pool candidate

2. Which of your childhood heros must never die?

I don’t think I’m too fussed, because if they’re still alive now they’ve had a reasonable innings. Jonathan Cohen the twinkly piano player from Playaway might make me wibble a bit.

3. Buried or cremated?

You can do either: the key bit is to thoroughly check that I’m really dead, but as long as that has been done, it’s fine. Cremated, if I have to pick.

4. Song played at your funeral

Abide With Me is great even outside a funeral setting – so at an actual funeral, it’s the perfect pick.

5. If you could be reincarnated as an animal, what one?

A cat, but I’ll pick an owner who will spoil me with smoked salmon, cos’ I don’t want any of that revolting cat food.

VinceNoir - 15 Jan 2016 10:44:16 (#10 of 97)

1. Whose celebrity death affected you the most?

Bowie probably. Still in shock.

2. Which of your childhood heros must never die?

Harrison Ford.

3. Buried or cremated?

Neither. Pushed out to sea on a Viking longboat. Someone fires a flaming arrow onto my dead body where I catch fire and....

4. Song played at your funeral

.... Firestarter by Prodigy kicks in

5. If you could be reincarnated as an animal, what one?

A bear. Bears look cool.

1. Les Dawson was sad. Gary Speed was tragic. Generally more likely to be moved by a young person, even if they weren't a personal hero. E.g. Heath Ledger, River Phoenix. Obviously Jill Dando was shocking because a Crimewatch presenter getting murdered seemed almost unbelievably unlikely.

2. Victoria Wood must never die. Nor Goldie Hawn.

3. Buried in one of those woodland cemeteries in a compostable coffin so that I can fertilise the trees.

4. Find The River - REM.

5. Definitely a pampered pussy cat.

surferboogiewhatever - 15 Jan 2016 10:45:02 (#12 of 97)

Find the River's a nice choice!

Flunkadelic - 15 Jan 2016 10:46:34 (#13 of 97)

Or 'Night Swimming' if you're being buried at sea

BrouTwo - 15 Jan 2016 10:46:36 (#14 of 97)

Oh I got a shock this week when I realised Timothy Claypole off Rentaghost died of aids in 1987, so maybe him.

Flunkadelic - 15 Jan 2016 10:47:23 (#15 of 97)

Good to see your finger on the pulse Brou

Not his obviously

popstar7 - 15 Jan 2016 10:48:18 (#16 of 97)

1. Bowie. More than I expected. I took the afternoon off work and did a lot of thinking/reminiscing and texting with friends from school.

A Sevilla player called Antonio Puerta who collapsed at a game against Getafe I was at. He managed to walk off the pitch but collapsed again in the dressing room and died three days later. Absolutely heartbreaking.

2. I'll be sad when McCartney goes. And Ringo.

3. Cremated

4. Shotgun - Jr Walker

5. Stegasaurus

BrouTwo - 15 Jan 2016 10:49:05 (#17 of 97)

Likewise Mark Ashton, also 1987, also Aids. Never heard of him before watching Pride but it wakes you up to what a loss he was.

1. Whose celebrity death affected you the most? Michael Jackson.

2. Which of your childhood heros must never die? My Grandad :/

3. Buried or cremated? Buried so the young people can come and weep at my graveside.

4. Song played at your funeral Slipknot - Snuff

5. If you could be reincarnated as an animal, what one? A Cat.

TommyDGNR8 - 15 Jan 2016 10:53:20 (#20 of 97)

1. Gary Moore

2. Kenny Dalglish. One I'm dreading most is David Cassidy for the effect it'll have on LadyD.

3. I like the woodland cemetery thing but, quite frankly, use whatever is the cheapest way to dispose of me. No fly-tipping, though.

4. "Rock & Roll All Night". It's in my will.

5. Yeah, a well-kept cat.
