Basically, I couldn't decide where to put this. On the vagaries of Donald's wealth:

http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-07-21/dear-mr-trump-i-m-worth-10-billion-too-

When they asked him about how he calculated his net worth, he noted that the figure “goes up and down with markets and with attitudes and with feelings, even my own feelings.” Later he added that “even my own feelings affect my value to myself.”

You're excused, that's the wrong folder

His latest one, that women should be criminalised for having abortions, was pretty special.

In tribute to Americans across the Midwest, Bonusy never ventures anywhere that might be a bit forrin.

Bonusy - 31 Mar 2016 14:49:47 (#6 of 5049)

Exactly.

I wonder how Trump will square off the crushing electoral defeat with his whole "I'm not a loser" schtick

nac1001 - 31 Mar 2016 14:51:13 (#8 of 5049)

Women wouldn't even be able to head south for an abortion in Mexico due that big wall.

I wonder how Trump will square off the crushing electoral defeat with his whole "I'm not a loser" schtick

Given that his string of bankruptcies and failed businesses hasn't affected his 'I'm not a loser' schtick, I can't see that being a problem.

Bonusy - 31 Mar 2016 15:04:53 (#10 of 5049)

Here's how:

Over these last 40 lime-lighted years, Trump has won a lot, but he has lost a lot, too—four corporate bankruptcies, two failed marriages and a vast array of money-squandering business ventures. He lost his signature Trump Shuttle airline to his lenders. His self-branded casinos in Atlantic City struggled consistently to turn profits. In each case, though, he has heeded a form of the advice he gave that day to Sprague: Never acknowledge failure. Never admit defeat.

Trump on Iran

TRUMP: Certainly the deal is not long enough. Because at the end of the deal they’re going to have great nuclear capability. So certainly the deal isn’t long enough. I would never have given them back the $150 billion under any circumstances. I would’ve never allowed that to happen. They are, they are now rich, and did you notice they’re buying from everybody but the United States? They’re buying planes, they’re buying everything, they’re buying from everybody but the United States. I would never have made the deal.

SANGER: Our law prevents us from selling to them, sir.

TRUMP: Uh, excuse me?

SANGER: Our law prevents us from selling any planes or, we still have sanctions in the U.S. that would prevent the U.S. from being able to sell that equipment.

His latest one, that women should be criminalised for having abortions, was pretty special.

Inducing an illegal abortion is a criminal offence in the UK.

dreams99 - 01 Apr 2016 10:45:24 (#13 of 5049)

There's a key word in that sentence that isn't in the previous one.

Tadagee - 01 Apr 2016 11:10:08 (#14 of 5049)

heh.

JohnIlly - 01 Apr 2016 11:21:46 (#15 of 5049)

And the illegality varies around the UK.

"Trump Shuttle" sounds like a surprise poo.

flowbagging - 05 Apr 2016 16:59:24 (#18 of 5049)

That failed, does his resultant constipation explain all?

quattrobhoy - 05 Apr 2016 18:12:19 (#19 of 5049)

That failed but, as Trump insists, he's never failed...
