Thread to watch MOTD...

Well, it's been quite a start to 2017/18.

Talk about non-Murdoch telly here.

Was Cesc always a twat, or did Arse fans just not notice when he had Arsenal DNA?

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:01:29 (#2 of 96)

Come on Burnley!

samesamebutdifferent - 12 Aug 2017 23:02:13 (#3 of 96)

Yay! Hi, Nic!

samesamebutdifferent - 12 Aug 2017 23:05:17 (#4 of 96)

Is this difficult second album syndrome for Conte?

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:05:30 (#5 of 96)

Boring pitches this year as 'they' (not sure who) have banned artistic grass cutting skills, I hear. We may need to watch for sneaky infringements.

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:08:08 (#6 of 96)

I don't really understand what's happened with Costa. However, I ignore club football in the off season so don't really know who we've bought, let alone arguments in other clubs.

Tadagee - 12 Aug 2017 23:09:56 (#7 of 96)

That's possibly the most enjoyable opening few minutes of a MOTD in many years.

Lord, but Fabregas is a knobhead.

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:13:52 (#9 of 96)

This Huddersfield game is good fun too (yes, I still haven't forgiven Crystal Palace for their treatment of way fans in the Simon Jordan years).

bignosebignose - 12 Aug 2017 23:15:04 (#10 of 96)

After all the years of Chelsea players mobbing refs over decisions, nice to see a sarky handclap laying the groundwork for one of them to get sent off.

Tadagee - 12 Aug 2017 23:15:27 (#11 of 96)

Simon Jordan had murals in his house of him as a knight in armour on a stallion

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:17:31 (#12 of 96)

HaHa really? Doesn't surprise me, mind.

Tadagee - 12 Aug 2017 23:18:10 (#13 of 96)

Yep. Seen pictures of them.

samesamebutdifferent - 12 Aug 2017 23:19:08 (#14 of 96)

Go Huddersfield!

FinnTheHuman - 12 Aug 2017 23:19:33 (#15 of 96)

I like that he quit football after John Bostock's transfer to Spurs. We offered £1M for him, Palace said they wanted £2.5M, so it went to tribunal and we were told to pay £750k.

Normally I would find such a thing terrible, but not where Simon Jordan is concerned.

AshburtonAbove - 12 Aug 2017 23:20:37 (#16 of 96)

Which paper was it that Simon Jordan had a weekly diary in?

Was it the Observer.

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:24:36 (#17 of 96)

For some reason I can't really warm to Watford (I remember going once as a child and my father driving in and driving out again as he couldn't find a parking place, maybe that haunts me) but ooh this looks a fun game if only only to watch a worse defence than ours.

samesamebutdifferent - 12 Aug 2017 23:30:19 (#18 of 96)

Comedy defending is always funny unless it's your own team. No doubt I will wince at Leicester's goals in a bit...

Tadagee - 12 Aug 2017 23:32:23 (#19 of 96)

Liverpool's defence providing some excellent comedy value there.

NicolaBlue - 12 Aug 2017 23:37:19 (#20 of 96)

Come on Leicester!

Sorry SameSame.
