Bloated sack of bigotry Sam Clovis withdraws his candidacy for the Agriculture post, with a snowflake of a letter about how 'relentless assaults on you and your team seem to be a blood sport that only increases in intensity each day'.

In fact he was asked tough questions like 'Please list your postgraduate qualifications in natural sciences' (answer: none).

LucyVanPelt - 02 Nov 2017 15:55:43 (#2 of 15049)

Corn fed Clovis was predicted to drop out, he has been to speak to Mueller hasn't he? He was Mr P's superior and aware of his seeking a meeting with the Russians.

He was a ludicrous choice anyway, although no worse than the cabana attendant or the guy who makes scented candles. Best and the Brightest all the way for Donny.

And in internecine struggle news, the Dems are re-litigating the selection of Hillary Clinton thanks to Donna Brazile (great timing, guys) and Robert Mercer divests himself of Breitbart:

Instead of the best people he picked the ones sunk to the bottom. I think Trump was and is having trouble finding people that want to work for the Trump organization. Who wants that on their resume. He is toxic. So then you get people like Clovis.

LucyVanPelt - 02 Nov 2017 16:16:59 (#6 of 15049)

The dems will self destruct if they keep this up. I don't understand why anyone thinks Bernie should have been supported by the DNC. He is an independent and is reluctant to hitch his wagon to the democrats even now so why didn't he run as a third party candidate if everyone on his side was so sure he could have won. I doubt it, he was not a target of the Russians yet when he left the race but imagine if he had been, he would not have been immune to the same shit that was circulated about Hillary.

the NY Times discusses the new tax proposal:

FestinaLente - 02 Nov 2017 16:26:51 (#8 of 15049)

Does it not bother you Lucy that the DNC and your candidate HRC screwed with what was supposed to be a free and fair election - an election YOU and others here insisted WAS free and fair? If they did it before, they'll do it again in a heartbeat, all because they feel entitled. No one else matters.

PS. Bernie Sanders didn't have any dirt on him. Still doesn't. Trump would have had a pretty hard time smearing him.

Take it elsewhere Festina.

Can't take the truth, eh?

TheSwearingBear - 02 Nov 2017 16:31:06 (#12 of 15049)

So how long can he stay? When will it all fall apart?

I'm looking at mid April.

mancurse - 02 Nov 2017 16:34:55 (#13 of 15049)

Why did I think FestinaLente was a normal poster? Must be mixing her up with Falada or someone.

LucyVanPelt - 02 Nov 2017 16:37:36 (#14 of 15049)

Must be manc.

Here is an example of who the Trump administration has to hire to fill positions:

There was no dirt on Hillary either.

CloakAndDagger - 02 Nov 2017 16:40:07 (#16 of 15049)

Christ, one of the anti-Hillary frothers has found their way here.

PaperRustler - 02 Nov 2017 16:49:38 (#17 of 15049)

In fact, Sanders signed exactly the same pact as Clinton with the DNC:

Anyway, this is not the thread, and (PLEASE NOTE, DEMS) this is not the time for re-litigating that particular issue.

Twitter all abuzz with the word 'Flynn' this afternoon. Why?

LucyVanPelt - 02 Nov 2017 21:58:52 (#18 of 15049)

Trump administration going to the bottom of the barrel again:

CinqueCento - 02 Nov 2017 22:00:51 (#19 of 15049)

That Russian newsreader tweet.

And Cory Lewandowski has been talking to the House Intelligence Committee for five hours without a lawyer.

And Kushner has reportedly handed over a lot of documents to Team Mueller.
