Your selections must come from the top 4 divisions in England and Scotland. You can only nominate a new Joker when your current Joker leaves their post. You must have selected a manager at least a week before they leave to gain points, and short term/caretaker appointments are not valid for selection. Club websites/BBC Sport will be used to confirm that a manager has left.

1 bonus point if your manager is replaced by Alan Pardew, Roy Keane or Harry Redknapp.

If your manager is replaced by someone who has previously played for the club, you gain 1 bonus point per 100 games they played for them.

5 bonus points if your manager is replaced by John Terry, Dean Saunders or Dion Dublin.

Picks must be submitted by 19:00 Friday 2nd August, when scoring will begin. Any picks submitted before then will become active at that point regardless of how long ago they were picked.Anyone entering after the deadline but before Saturday 31st August will start with -5 points, after that new entrants will start either with 0 points or 10 points behind the leader, whichever is lower.

(All rules are open to suggestion until midnight Thursday 1st August, both ideas and criticism welcome)

Forgot to nominate a joker - I’ll have Paul Wilkinson please.

Lettersandnumbersonly - 31 Jul 2019 22:22:11 (#14 of 53)

On the subject of Wilkinson, what would be the preferred ruling if Bury were to be kicked out the EFL as threatened but Wilkinson remained as manager, since they’d technically be out of the leagues that are valid to pick from?

6to24characters - 31 Jul 2019 22:30:06 (#15 of 53)

My suggestion is if a club is expelled from the valid leagues, the owner should get the option of replacing ( or de-jokering) but not gaining any points or keeping the manager and possibly getting a point if they leave their post later in the season

Did that make any sense?

dmlc133 - 31 Jul 2019 23:07:59 (#16 of 53)

I’d prefer to just be awarded the points but I suppose nullifying the selection and allowing a replacement would be the right way.
