Am I the only one ...?

Name anything(s) you have done that you sense maybe nobody else has ever has.

Been both on Newsnight and Richard and Judy.

EDIT: do you mean anyone else on JtT?

tasselhoff - 06 Aug 2020 12:05:12 (#14 of 106)

Had dinner with Sean Connery and the then-chairman of Rangers (and his missus).

I've made a few sandwiches over the years out of random ingredients and wondered if anyone else has ever tried the same thing e.g.

  • Marmite + museli. Really nice.
  • Peanut butter + museli. Fancy version of above.
  • Chicken, tomato sauce and rice crispies. About as bad as you might imagine.
  • Marmite and left over stuffing and carrots. Great
  • Risotto. In a roll. Because carbs are good.

What was the name of that guy who lived in a US swamp and cooked with marg (sic) and cornflakes?

It wasn't me!

Agaliarept - 06 Aug 2020 12:08:10 (#18 of 106)

I used to put Ketchup in my tea.

davedanon - 06 Aug 2020 12:09:54 (#19 of 106)

There's an Irish film called Transmission (early Colin Farrell role) with a running gag (pun intended) involving people drinking tea with Marmite in it and loving it.

Eligelis - 06 Aug 2020 12:10:51 (#20 of 106)

Mistaken violinist Nigel Kennedy for Violinist Nigel Kennedy.

TommyDGNR8 - 06 Aug 2020 12:11:19 (#21 of 106)

Not something I've done, but I quite like Kirsty Allsopp.

Rendered - 06 Aug 2020 12:12:58 (#22 of 106)

Wash your mouth out with Marmite.

Tricyrtis - 06 Aug 2020 12:13:26 (#23 of 106)

Sandwiches - mayo and brinjal pickle is pretty good.

Also, vegemite and honey on toast. Just a smear of each, though, or it's horrible.

Is museli the same as Müsli or some horrible English stuff *?

*Like Marmite for example.

EDIT: do you mean anyone else on JtT?

Meant anyone, but anyone on JtT is ok - perhaps posters could specify?

Shadrack22 - 06 Aug 2020 12:17:38 (#27 of 106)

At 2am, anonymously left bottles of beer outside the front doors of various neighbours to surprise and delight them.

uranrising - 06 Aug 2020 12:17:53 (#28 of 106)

Got the autograph of Gustav Mahler's granddaughter. Prob. true on JtT; rather possible globally.

OldLefty - 06 Aug 2020 12:20:30 (#29 of 106)

Sung bass in a choir next to Simon Rattle. Only JtT.

davedanon - 06 Aug 2020 12:21:27 (#30 of 106)

Dorry

That's the cove.

tasselhoff - 06 Aug 2020 12:22:18 (#31 of 106)

Got Art Garfunkel's autograph, proclaiming how I'd raised a lovely daughter. She also showed him what Google is, as he was amazed how she managed to print a picture of him.

They spent the evening chatting by a log fire at the four-star hotel where she worked
