1. Pablo Hernandez: on his day, good enough to play in any Premiership team/ Casilla - racist, a bit shit and paid £40k a week

2. Jamie Shackleton: not sure if he'll be more than a squad player this season but is going to be a total star in a couple of years.

3. Bielsa innit. Players rightly worship him and he makes them believe they can beat anyone. Signing Rodrigo should help.

4. Squad is a bit thin esp in central defence.

5. 11th

Tadagee - 12 Sep 2020 15:42:39 (#2 of 18)

FINE!

dmlc133 - 12 Sep 2020 15:59:15 (#3 of 18)

Rochdale, League One

1. Star man/oh God not himEoghan O'Connell is the new captain and will play at a higher level soon/Jimmy McNulty (not that one) has the turning circle of the QE2 these days

2. One to watch out forNew signing Stephen Humphrys should have a few goals in him and is only 22

3. I'm feeling optimistic because...Brian Barry-Murphy has found his feet as a coach and has a progressive footballing philosophy

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because...The squad is tissue-paper thin and most of the players aren't really League One standard

5. We'll finishOne place above the drop (I hope)

AlanII - 12 Sep 2020 16:33:00 (#4 of 18)

1. Pulisic: hope he carries on improving, could be frighteningly good if so/Don't really know, Kepa needs to get his mojo back and Christensen may not see much game time but, no real heart sinker.

2. Havertz has it in him to be incredibly good but, Billy Gilmour is the one I hope really kicks on.

3. I'm feeling optimistic because... Lampard did much better than I expected last season and has been very well backed in the transfer window. The defensive coach may be the most important signing.

4. Lot's of new players need to gel fast in order to secure a top 4 place and close the gap on Liverpool and Man City.

5. Third or fourth, though see 4.

FinnTheHuman - 12 Sep 2020 17:51:56 (#5 of 18)

1. Star man/oh God not him

Kane, if he stays fit. He liked back to his old self after the lockdown restart / Aurier, if he stays, or indeed plays. Captain Brainfart is a liability if he has an off day.

2. One to watch out for

Lo Celso, now that he has a ball winning player in midfield with him. Should allow him to get forward more and create to his hearts content.

3. I'm feeling optimistic because...

We ended last session in better form than the previous one.

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because...

We still don't have a backup striker for when H gets injured.

5. We'll finish

My heart says 4th, my head says 5th or 6th

Pheeep - 12 Sep 2020 18:08:54 (#6 of 18)

1. Star man/oh God not him Fernandes - imagination, talent and leadership. Any of the centre backs, but I'll go with Maguire for being a slow, stupid twat.

2. One to watch out for Greenwood again.

3. I'm feeling optimistic because... Our front five are pretty good.

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because... Our back six are pretty rubbish.

5. We'll finish fifth.

FinnTheHuman - 12 Sep 2020 18:25:40 (#7 of 18)

Heh 3 and 4 reminds me of Ossie being in charge, Pheeep

Pheeep - 12 Sep 2020 18:36:06 (#8 of 18)

Yes, OGS keeps saying attack is in MUFC's DNA but he seems to forget that Fergie had a series of pretty formidable defenders over the years.

popstar7 - 12 Sep 2020 18:45:15 (#9 of 18)

#5 Pretty much what I'd have said.

Dele and Dier getting back their best would be a huge lift too.

FinnTheHuman - 12 Sep 2020 18:53:55 (#10 of 18)

Dier having a set position has been good for him, and he's looked good so far there.

FinnTheHuman - 12 Sep 2020 19:20:18 (#11 of 18)

Forgot to add I'm really looking forward to seeing Doherty and Hojbjerg playing as well.

YogiMeerfield - 12 Sep 2020 21:55:48 (#12 of 18)

1. Star man - Emi Buendia. Too good for the Championship. Will probably be sold by the end of the month. Oh God not him - Thankfully we don't have any twats in the squad.

2. One to watch out for - Oliver Skipp, on loan from Spurs. Only 19, but looks like a talented defensive midfielder who can tackle and make a pass.

3. I'm feeling optimistic because... We've actually made some decent signings, on paper at least. Lots of potential.

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because... There's the possibility that by the time the transfer window shuts we will have sold half our first team.

5. We'll finish - Top six if we don't sell our best players. Mid table if we do.

FinnTheHuman - 13 Sep 2020 09:20:56 (#13 of 18)

Skippy should do well for you, Yogi.

Tinymcsmithy - 13 Sep 2020 09:25:55 (#14 of 18)

1. Star man/ Either of our two top strikers oh God not him Trying to stay positive.

2. One to watch out for Gabriel mark II

3. I'm feeling optimistic because... Nothing to prove and Arteta seems to have it covered. Also Willian.

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because... Nothing to prove and Arteta seems to have it covered. Also Willian.

5. We'll finish 3-5. Maybe.

Tadagee - 13 Sep 2020 09:26:47 (#15 of 18)

Skippy should do well for you, Yogi.

What's that Skippy? You can't play today as you've got to rescue someone who's fallen down the disused mine shift?

Tinymcsmithy - 13 Sep 2020 09:27:40 (#16 of 18)

Oh yeah, Ozil.

HerrWalrus - 21 Sep 2020 12:08:24 (#17 of 18)

1. Star man Timmy Castagne looks a great buy. /oh God not him Remaining quiet on this.

2. One to watch out for If Harvey Barnes can improve his finishing (IF)

3. I'm feeling optimistic because... We no longer need to rely so heavily on Vardy getting the goals.

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because... We don't have much depth in terms of defence. Just a couple of injuries leaves us very vulnerable.

5. We'll finish Top 6, given the breaks and a good run. But we have to stop shipping too many goals.

dreams99 - 21 Sep 2020 12:19:50 (#18 of 18)

1. Star man Can only be Aubameyang. Finding consistency with his finishing (he's always scored a lot, but missed some easy ones), if he's out then we're in trouble.

2. One to watch out for Eddie Nketiah.

3. I'm feeling optimistic because... Arteta seems to have got some confidence in the team, and some tactical consistency. And we're beating the big teams again.

4. I'm a bit worried to be honest because... Our defence is still ropey.

5. We'll finish. Yes, we will.
