"For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind"

Nice quote.

"First major surrender of Ukrainian forces in Mariupol, reportedly 267 marines. "

Video in link.

They've done well to last as long as they have but lack of resupply meant they would run out of ammo sooner or later.

"Analysis of satellite images by the @nytimes visual investigations team shows bodies lay in Bucha for at least 3 weeks, when Russian forces controlled the area, refuting Russian claims the massacre was carried out by Ukrainian forces after their departure."

#3 Indeed

They don't care. Disinformation is about controlling the narrative for your audience. I read something interesting about this yesterday (which is obvious in hindsight). I'll go and look for it.

The UNSC will discuss the massacres tomorrow.

Looks like the Russians will also be ejected from the UN Human Rights body (it routinely has rat bastards on it).

I posted a long post that never made it

The gist of it is that Ukraine/Russia has been a global political football for years and sorely needs a mature diplomatic intervention but all those that should be doing it seem frozen in the headlights

Never has “the United Nations” seemed less united imo

tasselhoff - 04 Apr 2022 20:00:29 (#11 of 5452)

Interesting posts on how Russian disinformation campaign has changed tack.

tasselhoff - 04 Apr 2022 20:08:36 (#14 of 5452)

Who said that?

Mazzarin - 04 Apr 2022 21:09:40 (#15 of 5452)

It was on the old thread I think.

tasselhoff - 04 Apr 2022 20:10:07 (#16 of 5452)

#12 yeah, I managed to have a whinge about that before they locked the old thread. Bah and indeed humbug.

If you look at the history of spying “the English” have been beating out the Tsar generally in “The Great Game” but really reached their stride in WWII with their shameful treatment of Alan Turing

Understandable with The Blitz of course but post war some the country sucked up to the USSR only to reach today’s muddled Brexit stagnation, renting real weapons for its “navy” from the Yanks

But the Russians *know* it was “the English”

It is to laugh, but dead kids make it to cry

dreams99 - 04 Apr 2022 21:29:43 (#19 of 5452)

really reached their stride in WWII with their shameful treatment of Alan Turing

What did they do shamefully to Turing in WWII then?

virgil5 - 04 Apr 2022 21:34:55 (#20 of 5452)

Should be “post war” but ask Herr Maj who finally apologized
