I was reading about their annexation of Sikkim in 1975 recently. Not exactly an invasion (not least because it was already full of Indian troops, being a protectorate of India and and bordering China), but some pretty underhand stuff going on.

India was not India at the time of Cholas. They were themselves invaded by conquerors from neighbouring states. A lot of the subcontinent was then invaded by migrants who created empires, even before British Raj created India.

reminds me of the Aztecs. it would be hard to say based on their conduct that Mexico invaded folks.

but it is all entertaining anyway.

#1 See also, "operation polo"

The Indian army is baddass... or at least they look that way until the women balancing on motorbikes show up, then not even the C&C Red Alert music can make them look anything but a circus act.
