If I had a dollar for every time I tried to figure out Mr. Hanania, I would be in hog heaven. Needless to say he's a Palestinian American from Chicago married to a Jewish lady, and he is his own man.

And he says Israel is here to stay, which is what he sees MbS as having said to Mr. Goldberg of "the Atlantic" several days ago in the USA.

Excellent Thursday, all.

(Jeff)Goldberg is not popularly read in the Arab world and the exaggerated criticism received much mileage. However, few of the crown prince’s critics will acknowledge that Gaza is under the heel of Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood extremists, who reject peace with Israel while believing that continued conflict, despite the ever-rising death toll, is a better option that might one day result in Israel’s destruction.

Israel’s destruction won’t happen. While many Palestinians can’t see the reality of today through the violent vision of their extremist activists, MBS sees the future clearly.

Peace is possible if we recognize that Israelis and Palestinians are diverse peoples. You can see a future both for Israel and Palestine, and an end to the suffering — but only through pragmatic reasoning and confidence that moderation and dialogue achieve far more than hate-driven anger and extremist rhetoric.

Ray Hanania, #22911, Arab News. I've been saying Israel's here to stay and called a Jew and Zionist because of it. I've been saying that since I realized the Arab Spring was bloodier than hell, not symbolized exclusively by Syria, by an means, or Yemen, or Libya, or Iraq, which happened prior to the Arab Spring.

But, unfortunately, those narratives have helped to define it, imo. Ray, truly, you are one of a kind, old son. Plus I am a Jew and Zionist like mr. jingles might be a Pro-Ayatollah Persian or Jakey might be Bibi's tennis partner.

But, alas, strictness in politics is where it's at, innit?

Ahem. Ha!

These two posts were two of the last on the old thread. I'll start where I left off. Great eve.

WhataBoderation - 12 Apr 2018 13:14:16 (#3 of 63)

Gaza is like a large prison camp.

I prefer the term zoo

You're forgetting the script. You're supposed to pretend you're not racist.

Rendered - 12 Apr 2018 13:34:32 (#4 of 63)

This still hasn't been sorted?

MestangloMan - 12 Apr 2018 13:35:50 (#5 of 63)

At Yad Vashem's Holocaust Memorial, Benyamin Netanyahu tells the Islamic Republic of Iran,

Do Not test Israel's resolve in Syria.

This is at a time of increased tensions between Russia and the USA/France/the UK over the alleged use of chemical weapons by Bashar Assad against Syrian Arabs who oppose his rule. Add the fact that Assad is of a minority sect and the fires just get nastier. I don't think anyone in their right mind believes Russia and the West will fight a mid-east war outside of the M.E. That's the sad reality. The M.E., godwilling, is not completely doomed.

I may never get to Jerusalem. By God, I do have the Red River. As I look ahead and sometimes over the heads of The heads, lovely Fried-day, all.

MestangloMan - 12 Apr 2018 14:11:10 (#6 of 63)

On the "Old thread" I placed a link which described 7 Jews who were arrested outside of Chuck Schumer's office in NYC, protesting the skirmishes on the Gaza/Israel border. Plus there was footage via RT. This article describes 4 Jews arrested outside of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles for saying Kaddish in commemoration of the Palestinians killed by the IDF. Plus there are some comments from Israel National News which confused me a couple of days ago. This article clarifies a lot of stuff.

The JTT I/P thread has the Thread AIDS. Where will we go now to solve world peace?

MestangloMan - 12 Apr 2018 14:33:35 (#8 of 63)

Just as a reminder to those who think Israel should be removed to Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, or Nebraska(Yes, you too, Dr. Finkelstein) or to those who think I own this issue due to very bizarre politics that only Ma Europe could engender, I give you Jerusalem.

24/7 webcam except on the Jewish Israeli Sabbath. Enjoy your Thursday, JtT. Yes, this Western Gentile begs the parties to make peace.

But do they listen to ol' MM? Hardly. Ha.

At 4:35 M.E. time the city is bathed in Spring beauty. The Holy City for three major faiths, and lots of competing sects within those folks, and several ethnicities, including Sephardic, Ashkenazi, and Mizrahi, as I understand it.

Rendered - 12 Apr 2018 14:38:49 (#9 of 63)

If only they did, Monglers, if only they did.

MestangloMan - 12 Apr 2018 14:40:44 (#10 of 63)

Well, Yes, I own Jerusalem, like you and your crew, Rendered, are still under 30. Haha.

We carry on...

Btw, how someone from Northern Europe who frequents the USA folder on the weekends evah got that in his deranged head is a completely different question.

See ol' Dr. Freud for details. Lay-tare, old sons and daughters.

http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Middle-East/2018/Apr-12/444991-khameneis-envoy-says-iran-can-destroy-israel-fars-news-agency.ashx

ANKARA: The Supreme Leader's envoy at Iran's Quds force said Thursday that Tehran could destroy Israel and warned it to avoid any "stupid" measure against the Islamic Republic, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

"If Israel wants to continue its treacherous existence ... it should avoid stupid measures. If they give excuses to Iran, Tel Aviv and Haifa will be destroyed," Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's representative at the Quds force cleric Ali Shirazi was quoted by Fars as saying. "Iran can destroy Israel."

Daily Star of Lebanon. This isn't coming from an Israeli or Zionist source, mind, but a pro-Arab source that is on the very front lines of this often disturbing politics and even violence. I suppose the timing is interesting, but by no means the first time this sort of thing has been stated. I'm sure Israel is more than prepared for whatever might happen in the next few months.

MestangloMan - 12 Apr 2018 17:23:21 (#13 of 63)

Obama did not address the “Arab world,” he addressed the “Muslim World” for a reason that many Arabs would not fully understand until years later. He was not trying to lift the Arab world up and bring peace to the Middle East — he was instead seeking to elevate Iran’s influence in the region.

By the time Arabs realized what was happening, it was too late. Obama had abandoned them by turning his back on promises of freedom for Palestinians, and he backed an unprecedented policy to bolster Iran by allowing it to pursue nuclear technology.

The fact is more Palestinians were killed during one conflict with Israel in 2014 under Obama’s watch than under any previous American president. Worse still was that more Palestinians were injured during Obama’s eight years in office than under Bill Clinton or George W. Bush. Clearly, Obama’s perceived compassion for Palestinian rights was undermined by the reality. And that was because Obama was more concerned about the interests of Iran. Instead of curtailing Iran’s regional hegemony, Obama was fueling it at the expense of the Arab world.

One of the president’s most influential advisers was Valerie Jarrett, his longest-serving aide. Jarrett was born and raised in Shiraz, Iran, and enjoyed a particular love of the Iranian culture that had vanished under the oppressive rule of the ayatollahs and the conflict with the West.

Ray Hanania, Arab News. This guy is never boring, that's for sure. Ha. From the link in #2. Btw, I don't know about his stats, but at no time in my lifetime has the M.E. been anything but volatile as sin. Just a few years younger than Ray, actually. Definitely in the Arab Nationalist camp, I would say, from a definite US pov. Mr. Jackie Mason wouldn't let him open for him because he found out he was Palestinian, and not Jordanian in the national sense. Hehe.

Truly, great afternoon, all.

This happened after Israel had already murdered and injured dozens of peaceful protestors and members of the press.

Brunothecat - 13 Apr 2018 18:17:50 (#16 of 63)

We have already been told people were shot because they "might damage the fence".

So making up a load of crap about molotovs is too late now.

MestangloMan - 13 Apr 2018 19:39:55 (#17 of 63)

I want to get this on the new thread. He's not blue state. Neither is he red state. This chap is Red, White, and Blue States, USA. From a Puerto Rican father and a Russian Jewish mama, born in the early 40s in NYC. Controversy follows him quite often. In this interview with Palestinian-Italian Muslim American Dean Obeidallah, Geraldo Rivera says he is both a Zionist and a Palestinian. Maybe the first time I have seen those words used together to describe the same person. The era he describes early in the interview I remember very well in my dear, old Land of Uncle Samuel.

For some reason you remind me of Trump and his crap. :-)

So making up...

Gee, I'll have to stop reading the fake Zionist news.

My Fiery Protest Is Simply the Cry of My Very Soul

Just like Emile Zola, people of conscience are protesting against the leaders who have sent Israel’s politics and culture down to levels worthy of a fascist beer hall
