Rides in at high speed, hauls on brakes, and leaves enormous skid-mark across first post....

"Cyclists do 30mph, shit on village green"

http://road.cc/content/news/101486-new-forest-authority-claims-cyclists-poo-village-greens

OneOfOne - 16 Dec 2013 14:38:02 (#4 of 16163)

There's a lot of shit going on over there, a few of the locals really resent the cycling events. There have been multiple incidences of sabotage, some dangerous such as tacks on the road.

machiavelli - 16 Dec 2013 14:41:39 (#5 of 16163)

Does this mean I have to buy a new bike?

BadgerDancing - 16 Dec 2013 15:06:37 (#6 of 16163)

30mph through Brockenhurst? Bollocks.

Cordelia - 16 Dec 2013 15:49:37 (#7 of 16163)

Hurrah for a new thread! Are we still boozing on Wednesday?

GROWLER - 16 Dec 2013 16:01:06 (#8 of 16163)

I like that 'shitting on the village green' story. More of this please!

BadgerDancing - 16 Dec 2013 16:01:42 (#9 of 16163)

I have Thursday off AND I've managed to wriggle out of the work do on Wednesday night. I'm in.

BadgerDancing - 16 Dec 2013 16:02:18 (#10 of 16163)

That's the booze up, not the shitting on village greens.

GROWLER - 16 Dec 2013 16:03:17 (#11 of 16163)

That's fine, shitting on village greens is not til Saturday anyway.

BadgerDancing - 16 Dec 2013 16:06:59 (#12 of 16163)

Yesh, it does seem more of a weekend thing.

Incidentally, the act of shitting on a village green when wearing bibtights (as I'd imagine a fair few of these fellas would have been wearing) brings its own set of logistical issues.

ArriveAlive - 16 Dec 2013 16:17:33 (#13 of 16163)

Are we still boozing on Wednesday?

Having booked Wednesday afternoon off, and potentially an 11am start on Thursday morning I will be there right from the start this time round!

frantastic - 16 Dec 2013 16:36:23 (#14 of 16163)

Cyclists do 30mph, shit on village green - that explains the skid marks.

Cordelia - 16 Dec 2013 16:38:37 (#15 of 16163)

GROWLER! Why don't you come boozing with the cyclists on Wednesday?

Crayola - 16 Dec 2013 20:38:29 (#16 of 16163)

I have a dinner reservation but may be able to sneak a pint in first. If we are early. Where are we going. What time is it? Do I take sugar?

Also, MrCr sent me a link to sum nut nut cycling a boris bike up Ventoux.

Cordelia - 16 Dec 2013 20:50:01 (#17 of 16163)

6pm at the Farringdon pub - the Crown Tavern. There's a table booked in my name.

harveynickchick - 16 Dec 2013 21:30:57 (#18 of 16163)

That's the same one as last time? My works dinner kicks off at 2pm so assuming I'm sober enough to remember by that time, I should be there quite early.

GROWLER - 16 Dec 2013 21:33:53 (#19 of 16163)

GROWLER! Why don't you come boozing with the cyclists on Wednesday?

Tis the work Christmas party on Wednesday, else I would.

ArriveAlive - 16 Dec 2013 21:35:07 (#20 of 16163)

The same one - yes hnc...

Will you be dragging MrC along if you make it, Crayola? We can compare rapidly-fading comedy tan lines!
