Thread to share premonitions and see if any come true

2 days before the Russian plane crashed in Egypt, I woke up with a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen, connected to a plane crash. The feeling was specific enough to know that it was not normal 'malaise', but not specific enough to say 'this plane, at this time ...'

Two days, huh? And a plane crash? Amazing.

jobi258 - 15 Nov 2015 23:45:34 (#2 of 492)

I anticipate the usual piss-takes on a thread like this. Please take them elsewhere. If posters actually engage with the topic at hand, there will be enough 'false alarm' premonitions to laugh about afterwards. OTOH there may be several examples of premonitions which did come true.

I will wager £100000000 pounds that there will be no 'premonitions' that were any where near specific enough to be classed as true.

Also, I knew someone was going to start a thread like this.

I knew you were going to say that but my internet connection is so slow that this post appeared after yours even though I wrote it ten minutes ago.

Have you seen Final Destination?

Have you seen Final Destination?

No. Just googled it though ...

Post your premonitions now. If you post them after the event, they are hindsight, not premonitions. Also, your premonition has to be significant. We can all forecast most of what's going to happen tomorrow.

jobi258 - 15 Nov 2015 23:55:46 (#9 of 492)

Post your premonitions now

I'm going to wait until the predictable piss-takers have died down a bit and got bored. Plus of course premonitions don't come to order, so to speak. Who knows when they may appear.

cozzer - 16 Nov 2015 00:01:06 (#10 of 492)

Post a detailed premonition and shut the pisstakers up.

Bromio - 16 Nov 2015 00:06:38 (#11 of 492)

Please let me know when I will get bored of taking the piss out of this nonsense so that I can go and do something more meaningful like polish my chakras.

I had a dream last night. I foresee that Ben Carson will either make another dumb statement, or have another dumb statement from his past revealed, within the week.

Trump will make another dumb statement. very soon.

That doesn't count because Dr Who is a time traveller.

cozzer - 16 Nov 2015 00:36:36 (#15 of 492)

I had a clear dream in which I saw Tom Baker as Doctor Who running through a forest.

Did you tell anyone, or write down, the details of this dream? Or did you watch Dr Who and think 'I had that dream'? Because your memory of dreams (or, in fact, anything) is less fixed than you think. Seeing the shot on Dr Who will have altered your memory of the dream.

I woke up one morning many years ago knowing that something had happened to my mother. I couldn't shake it, so when I got to the office I called her to check. She was just fine.

A year or more later she had a heart attack and died, but I had no premonition that it would happen when it did.

Macpaddy - 16 Nov 2015 01:10:47 (#18 of 492)

I had a premonition, more of a flash dream really. My father had fallen overboard from his boat and was drowning and I couldn 't reach him. Later on I phoned to talk to him, my mother said he couldn't come to the phone as he was having a bath. My blood ran cold. I told her to race uptairs to check on him - she did and he was having a shower after changing his mind. I reckon my premonition saved his life.

That's my best ever premonition story.

Gives me goose bumps just reading about it.

Macpaddy - 16 Nov 2015 02:03:42 (#20 of 492)

I know.
