You're an iInformed citizen when ...

To be an informed citizen, are there particular areas that you a)must be ;b) would be advisable, to be informed in?

And how do you know when you've reached the "adequate" level of being informed?

Just don't be a dick and consider the possibility you might be wrong.

"...when you don't realise the thing that should be banned IS banned."

Conversely...

"...when you think that something is banned but isn't."

When you know you don't know.

I'm wondering whether I'm missing interesting life opportunities merely through habit and lack of imagination

Its easily done. And I can see it in so many of my peers. Rather more rare (though not entirely unknown) are positive examples of people who've not fallen into the usual ruts

I am informed that we are misinformed.

HouseOfLametta - 13 Jun 2021 08:58:31 (#7 of 22)

I am an ilformed citizen.

hailesaladdie - 13 Jun 2021 09:03:48 (#8 of 22)

I went to Ilford once. It didn't look like it did on the 35mm film box.

HouseOfLametta - 13 Jun 2021 09:06:17 (#9 of 22)

That must've been a high contrast.

hailesaladdie - 13 Jun 2021 09:13:13 (#10 of 22)

Well, it's a developing story.

RosyLovelady - 13 Jun 2021 10:12:37 (#11 of 22)

Let's not be negative about it.

upgoerfive - 13 Jun 2021 11:40:24 (#12 of 22)

I don't care to be exposed to that.

quartus - 13 Jun 2021 12:52:24 (#13 of 22)

Focus on something else.

RosyLovelady - 13 Jun 2021 13:07:50 (#14 of 22)

Would you care to enlarge on that?

HouseOfLametta - 13 Jun 2021 15:35:13 (#15 of 22)

It's a red light for.me.

coshipi - 13 Jun 2021 15:37:16 (#16 of 22)

There is a red light district in Ilford, but it doesn't get much exposure.

hailesaladdie - 13 Jun 2021 15:39:26 (#17 of 22)

I blame my fixer.

upgoerfive - 13 Jun 2021 16:39:01 (#18 of 22)

You ought to shutter off.

uranrising - 14 Jun 2021 12:04:09 (#19 of 22)

so far, so so-so.

HouseOfLametta - 14 Jun 2021 12:34:54 (#20 of 22)

I used to visit the red light district in Ilford.

Only in the daylight. I couldn't afford the nitrate.
