Harvest Internet Wackadoo-ness Here

Sometimes you come across things on the internet that may not be worthy of a full thread, but that you still feel is worth bringing to the attention of other NtT-ers, simply for their sheer nuttiness.

This is the thread to harvest the good, the bad, and the ugly of the web.

May they never track us down here.

I'll try to start on a positive note, with a fisking of a 2008 evangelical talking points email about whether the USA has actually turned out as they predicted in 2012: [Love, Joy, Feminism]

Inmates at Famous Filipino Prison Do Choreographed Dance Number to 'Gangnam Style' [Gawker]

In the dystopian future, people will commit crimes to be imprisoned here, in the hopes that their kick-ass dance moves will make them a reality star.

The importance of recognising English ethnicity [English Shieldwall]

Ugh. EDL Catnip.

The idea of ethnicity/race in general is pretty meaningless. The idea of an "English" ethnicity is beyond ludicrous.

Reminds me a bit of this:

BTW I found this site by googling the name of a certain non-notable, litigious, ex-GUFAT poster who shall remain extremely nameless

Pixiedust - 03 Oct 2012 02:09:25 (#6 of 10814)

When I can't sleep I troll EDL-related blogs until I take to bed with despair.

There's one who calls herself something like Maid Alice or something who is deeply off-putting.

Ah, here's the badger:

Actually I remember reading that East African people have the greatest genetic diversity and essentially the entire population of the world divides genetically into Kenyan tribe A, Kenyan tribe B and the whole rest of the human race.

Pixiedust - 03 Oct 2012 02:17:43 (#9 of 10814)

I don't know about East Africa, but Africa is hella diverse, with god knows how many ethnic groups (I'd have to ask my dad) and over 2,000 languages.

Luckily for me, I could just about make it to West Africa without the need for a translator.

As long as I didn't have to speak Lingala. That stuff is only supposed to be danced to.

If the original story was too be believed, drunken college kids are drinking wine anally these days.

AmbroseChapel - 03 Oct 2012 02:52:55 (#12 of 10814)

Africa is genetically diverse because people were invented there. Everyone else in the world is a refugee.

On the contrary, that guy might be the only Christian who's actually being consistent about the bible. He's quite right. If you're going to use the bible to tell me homosexuality is wrong, then you have to take the rough with the smooth. Gayness is bad, slavery is OK.
