Oh fucking joy.

deadmanwalking23 - 16 Mar 2019 17:10:14 (#2 of 28)

MySpace???

deadmanwalking23 - 16 Mar 2019 17:10:50 (#3 of 28)

Anyway didn't we practically invent social media?

FredDee - 16 Mar 2019 17:28:30 (#4 of 28)

May I be first to boast that I have never had an account with any of the websites named in the thread header ?

TommyDGNR8 - 16 Mar 2019 17:36:11 (#5 of 28)

Having just Googled it, I'm surprised that, until now, I have been entirely unaware of Hi5.

Is that a boast?

upgoerfive - 17 Mar 2019 00:46:40 (#7 of 28)

I hope so, for I also have never signed up for any of the above.

SinnerBoy - 03 Apr 2019 10:58:18 (#8 of 28)

Is Whatsapp actually social media? I use it for messaging and phone calls.

Hi5 was new to me, too.

What about Tik Tok?

mememe - 03 Apr 2019 11:02:15 (#10 of 28)

Just remember, kids: Social is not an objective.

widenation - 03 Apr 2019 11:14:14 (#11 of 28)

Hi5 is big in Mongolia:

Can be, depends on how a group uses it. Social media isn't exactly a hard definition as best I can see

TrouserFreak - 04 Apr 2019 17:02:17 (#13 of 28)

The groups on WhatsApp can be social mediaey if you don't know anyone in the group other than who put you in the group.

Tik-tok is so 2018.

SinnerBoy - 04 Apr 2019 17:05:04 (#14 of 28)

I'm a few groups. The family one posts messages and photos, but it's not really Facebook.

deadmanwalking23 - 05 Apr 2019 09:34:41 (#15 of 28)

I have a friend who uses WhatsApp to send me pictures, videos and memes

mingmong - 08 Oct 2021 20:11:57 (#16 of 28)

I friended someone yesterday who herself is only a vague friend of Mrs Ming.

Now someone (a single bloke in his 70s) who is a friend of that person has sent me a friend request. My general rule is if I don't know them IRL then I won't pretend to be friends with them on FB.

But I sense this individual is quite lonely and really, what harm could it do. Shall I break my rule, or will this inevitably end up in an excruciating Jerry-Springer type situation, in which I am saddled with a demanding online 'friend' whose many and complex needs I will be incapable of fulfilling, and from whom I can only part by acting like a heartless cunt?

HouseOfLametta - 08 Oct 2021 20:17:46 (#17 of 28)

Kill him and eat him.

mingmong - 08 Oct 2021 20:35:13 (#18 of 28)

I thought kill him and then post a photo of his headless body as a warning to others.

HouseOfLametta - 08 Oct 2021 20:51:23 (#19 of 28)

Ok. Then eat him.

mingmong - 08 Oct 2021 20:51:44 (#20 of 28)

I dunno. Bit old. Probably stringy
