Sticks Post-It note on V+ box as a reminder to set series record...

Although I hope they've changed that awful theme song. I didn't realise that it was being sung in English until about half way trough.

back do da beginning.

Whereas you kept the secret that your post was in Scandiwegian right to the end.

Der er ikke noget galt med min danske.

Interview with Sofia Helin on Woman's Hour, last week, that I unaccountably managed to miss. Work is the curse of the Home Service listening classes!

There's a button to listen to just the interview if you scroll down the page a bit.

Are they going to bring back Kim Bodnia in some role, even if it's just lounging in prison? Didn't spot him in the preview.

Electro - 10 Nov 2015 20:31:04 (#10 of 517)

No sorry to say.

Electro - 10 Nov 2015 20:32:41 (#11 of 517)

From a couple of months ago...

"It seems Bodnia was unhappy with the way in which the show's writers wanted to resolve the situation. "We had different perceptions of the season's content," Anders Landstrøm of Swedish co-producer Film Lance told Sydsvenskan. "Bodnia was not happy with how the character evolved. It is a shame, but we must move on and accept it."

"Large parts of the series 3 script will need to be rewritten by head writer Hans Rosenfeldt and his team, but according to Landstrøm: "The main story is intact."

I gather not. He didn't like his storyline so walked. The re-writing delayed filming a bit. I guess that's why Old Boss has apparently been brought out of retirement.

That's unfortunate. Their relationship was key to the success of the programme - I thought.

sympforthedevil - 10 Nov 2015 21:31:57 (#14 of 517)

Yeah. Sofia is the star but the partnership was important. TBH, I wasn't a huge fan of The Bridge I or II - certainly not compared to some of the other Scandi-drama. I'll give III a go, though.

foxybrown - 10 Nov 2015 21:41:03 (#15 of 517)

I can't even remember what happened

breakfast - 11 Nov 2015 00:40:33 (#16 of 517)

I wasn't that keen on Bridge 1 - and the whole premise and ending were preposterous. But it was worth watching in the end because when it came to season 2 that was much better. Part of that was Saga and Martin's more developed relationship.

TinyMcOtter - 11 Nov 2015 02:01:48 (#17 of 517)

I think the relationship between the two of them was great. The storylines were weak with both series I think. The whole Eco-trrrst shtick is the same every time it is used in cop shows. Deranged leader of idealistic greenies, ultimately controlled by someone higher up... etc.

staticgirl - 11 Nov 2015 15:25:07 (#18 of 517)

I think it might struggle this series if Saga doesn't have someone to tether her in this world.

breakfast - 11 Nov 2015 15:29:03 (#19 of 517)

Yes the series 2 plot was also very fanciful but at least it didn't have the ridiculous perp of the first. I was able to get into the characters and the emotional side more in the second one. There was one particular heartbreaking moment that was very well done.

Vassant - 11 Nov 2015 15:32:10 (#20 of 517)

Statgirl, that is the point exactly. I shall miss Martin terribly, I suspect. They had better come up with something special to fill a huge gap. Their relationship was the heart of the Bridge.
