Top actor, a good man. RIP.

Lawlsie - 14 Jan 2016 12:57:59 (#3 of 133)

Bugger

Diddly - 14 Jan 2016 12:59:30 (#4 of 133)

Bloody hell. RIP, Alan. Not a good week this.

HerrWalrus - 14 Jan 2016 13:04:12 (#5 of 133)

His Snape rocked...

CarlosFandango - 14 Jan 2016 13:05:36 (#6 of 133)

Bugger indeed.

LilacWine - 14 Jan 2016 13:06:55 (#7 of 133)

WTF is going on this year? Very sad indeed.

Lawlsie - 14 Jan 2016 13:07:00 (#8 of 133)

He was brilliant in everything I saw him in. A very sad loss.

I'm sick of this year already. Can we turn the clock back, start again, and keep everyone alive this time please. Deal?

Moominmamma12 - 14 Jan 2016 13:08:08 (#9 of 133)

Fucksake. Really sad. I loved his films and used to have a massive crush on him.

Lawlsie - 14 Jan 2016 13:08:45 (#10 of 133)

He was indeed good crush-worthy material.

Lawlsie - 14 Jan 2016 13:09:27 (#11 of 133)

Wasn't sure where to put this! Media, film, theatre, news...

Moominmamma12 - 14 Jan 2016 13:10:10 (#12 of 133)

Cancer again, what a shit.

I'm going to have to watch Truly Madly Deeply and Sense and Sensibility again soon.

FestinaLente - 14 Jan 2016 13:10:19 (#13 of 133)

This is horrible! I can't believe it! Someone say it isn't true!

I just started one in Film I will delete.

Lawlsie - 14 Jan 2016 13:11:26 (#14 of 133)

I did think of putting it in film Festina. Then theatre. Then I thought this covered them all!

I cannot possibly watch Truly, Madly Deeply now Moomin!

MorrisMitchener - 14 Jan 2016 13:11:36 (#15 of 133)

I loved him in Close My Eyes. The film isn't a comedy but his character is very funny nevertheless. Its a bleak enough film, needs a bit of humour, Rickman provided it.

FleurDuMal - 14 Jan 2016 13:12:34 (#16 of 133)

Bugger again.

Lawlsie - 14 Jan 2016 13:12:46 (#17 of 133)

I adored him in An Awfully Big Adventure. Hugh Grant is great in that too. Do try to get it if you haven't seen it. It's very dark and utterly brilliant in my opinion.

Moominmamma12 - 14 Jan 2016 13:14:03 (#18 of 133)

He was tremedously good at humour.

Just tremendously good really. And generous to others starting out in their career.

What a voice. If only he could have really put a stopper on death.

lapsedcat - 14 Jan 2016 13:14:53 (#19 of 133)

His greatest role undoubtedly was in Die Hard

FestinaLente - 14 Jan 2016 13:15:44 (#20 of 133)

I've had Truly Madly on my Netflix list for aaages, but it never comes up to the top.

By Grabthar's Hammer, what a disaster...
