Luther

It's half brilliant, half terrible. Only you often can't tell which half is which.

But it does appear to have most the original cast back.

But anyway, yay for Duckface. And Idris Elba. And conscientious Northern copper.

WilyCoyote - 14 Jun 2011 21:24:52 (#2 of 325)

And of course, unclear motive Discipline and Complaints copper.

LadyInGreen - 14 Jun 2011 21:43:56 (#3 of 325)

Bugger - I didn't watch the last series and there is a bit too much carry over from it.

Gemlie - 14 Jun 2011 21:55:28 (#4 of 325)

Every bit as bonkers as the last series. It really is awful but utterly fantastic at the same time.

rainwoman - 14 Jun 2011 21:56:59 (#5 of 325)

It's proper old school nonsense and I love it.

And Luther.

<lusts mightily>

Pinkgum - 14 Jun 2011 21:57:16 (#6 of 325)

I didn't watch it either LiG, but am enjoying the dreadfulness of it anyhows.

LadyInGreen - 14 Jun 2011 21:58:52 (#7 of 325)

That scared the shit out of me even though it was obvious.

rainwoman - 14 Jun 2011 21:59:24 (#8 of 325)

Yup

Electro - 14 Jun 2011 22:00:07 (#9 of 325)

Me to bluddy ell.

WilyCoyote - 14 Jun 2011 22:06:40 (#10 of 325)

I do hope it continues the trajectory of the last series whereby it got more and more bonkers with each episode until it was actually quite batshit brilliant, and you kept coming back to it each week.

Electro - 14 Jun 2011 22:09:52 (#11 of 325)

Anyone know what was in the apple? A swipe card?

WilyCoyote - 14 Jun 2011 22:14:58 (#12 of 325)

Electronic key card that operated the doors in the high security hospital.

LadyInGreen - 14 Jun 2011 22:42:13 (#13 of 325)

I was making tea for that bit. Do we know who threw it over?

PolishMark - 14 Jun 2011 22:43:27 (#14 of 325)

I was making tea for that bit. Do we know who threw it over?

Yeah. Luther.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Quality hokum!

levelgaze - 14 Jun 2011 23:06:00 (#15 of 325)

Enjoyed it. Luther less hammy this time. But some of the dialogue is dreadful.

LadyInGreen - 14 Jun 2011 23:12:37 (#16 of 325)

I am confused now. Why would Luther want the mental to escape?

PolishMark - 14 Jun 2011 23:29:38 (#17 of 325)

Good question. Keep watching, I guess.

moto748 - 15 Jun 2011 06:42:08 (#18 of 325)

Why would Luther want the mental to escape?

Well, she must be thinking she's pulled...

carterbrandon - 15 Jun 2011 09:03:23 (#19 of 325)

some of the dialogue is dreadful.

I gah-ed at the trailer's "Someone once said to me, 'hell is empty, and all the devils are here'". Riiight, Luther (and your pisstaking idle scriptwriter who can't think of his own memorable lines). 'Someone'. And did he have a baldy head and a ruff round his neck?

smiggy - 15 Jun 2011 12:33:54 (#20 of 325)

Didn't watch the last series, missed half of it last night but quite entertaining.
