The Mash Report - BBC2's new topical comedy show.

Starting tonight. It has writers from the UK's Onion-like website, The Daily Mash. Please let it be funny.

The web is US-dominated, which is skewing 'correct' English spelling to the American. Personally, I'm not an American so I'll spell English.

It's all English. I think you may mean British English.

HouseOfLametta - 05 Feb 2018 14:29:41 (#163 of 365)

That makes no sense.

AlanII - 05 Feb 2018 15:20:35 (#164 of 365)

Correct terminology as far as I know.

Arjuna - 05 Feb 2018 22:28:25 (#165 of 365)

I think Piers Morgan may be saving this show

An attempt at a humorous attack on Corbyn tonight, perhaps in the interests of balance. However, them saying he appears to be someone that would talk about "an interesting pebble he found in his allotment" is really poor given that Corbyn has a real-life fascination for different sewer covers.

SheikYerbouti - 08 Feb 2018 22:12:59 (#167 of 365)

I think people are watching this out of pity at this point.

Brexit ... Trump ... Brexit ... Trump ...

Yes, they could broaden out their material, couldn't they?

A CAR WENT INTO SPACE this week. That should be a gift for oneliners.

xbod72 - 08 Feb 2018 22:26:14 (#170 of 365)

This racism segment is very, very long.

HerpDerp - 09 Feb 2018 17:13:20 (#171 of 365)

And not that funny. I quite liked the bit with the scary copper, couldn't tell if he was acting or not (I suspect not).

Arjuna - 10 Feb 2018 20:25:57 (#172 of 365)

My impression is that they're all a bit too nice - satire needs to be more brutal.

xbod72 - 10 Feb 2018 20:55:28 (#173 of 365)

Depicting a head halfway up an anus isn't really that nice.

Brunothecat - 10 Feb 2018 20:58:10 (#174 of 365)

But is it a fair representation of Morgan's interviewing technique? That surely is what matters.

Arjuna - 10 Feb 2018 21:07:03 (#175 of 365)

It wss more smutty than anything. I didn't even think it was that funny until Morgan started whining.

ChankNolen - 12 Feb 2018 17:31:30 (#176 of 365)

There's a famous Private Eye cover on a similar theme, Harold Wilson rimming Lyndon Johnson. Scarfe iirc. Genuinely laugh out loud horrible.

Bit hard to see if the tongue is touching anything. Or even to see the tongue.

xbod72 - 15 Feb 2018 22:13:26 (#178 of 365)

Liked the Mogg segment. They should have her do more segments like that.

xbod72 - 15 Feb 2018 22:14:28 (#179 of 365)

Are any of you getting the show as if some frames are missing from the broadcast?

I wouldn't normally ask and put it down to the BBC but my TV has been doing some other slightly odd things of late.

TRaney - 15 Feb 2018 22:23:07 (#180 of 365)

Yeah I just had a frame jump
