All caps, which is the way the titles run. Season 3 has just concluded in U.S.Showtime. The wiki starts thus: "Billions is an American television drama series created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin, starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis, that premiered on Showtime on January 17, 2016. The series is loosely based on the activities of Preet Bharara, the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and his legal battles with hedge fund manager Steve Cohen of S.A.C. Capital Advisors.

In Season 2, it also incorporates loosely the cases involving Treasury bond auction market manipulation conduct of Salomon Brothers, including the roles of CEO John Gutfreund and bond trader Paul Mozer, in 1991.

Got the finale lined up to watch now but last week's events leave me a little fearful for Axe. He sure likes a dance with the devil.

Not the last episode after all, 2 to go. Good episode all the same, funny and sentimental.

Hello, and thank you Phantlers.

I did not know it is loosely based on real events. Thanks.

The wife is becoming more Lady Macbeth by the week.

I presume the beardy benefactor will turn on Chuck

Sorry I know very few names

Chuck's part has changed a great deal since the start, he has a Teflon quality and is something of a shapeshifter. The part when he and Bobby have it out out of court is some cracking writing.

I didn't realise they were based on real people either.

Where is Carl Sagan?

The season finale airs next week on FX in the U.S.

Watched the penultimate last night, some laughs for a change and Chuck bares his teeth. He's a Rottweiler.

A pleasing season finale and a closing scene to draw applause. Next season holds so much.

I can imagine Ax going nuts when he finds out about Taylor.

Chuck and the southern guy, I can't see how this can all unravel in two weeks (is uk two weeks behind?) that's a lot to unpick. The sacked man at the FBI has got to get involved to, he's not finished with chuck yet

foxybrown - 14 Jun 2018 23:09:56 (#12 of 49)

Oof Chuck, as I thought. But there is ten minutes to go.....

foxybrown - 14 Jun 2018 23:11:38 (#13 of 49)

Is this the last one of the series?

foxybrown - 14 Jun 2018 23:15:37 (#14 of 49)

I guess it is. All friends together. Rather ridiculous

phantlers - 14 Jun 2018 23:24:52 (#15 of 49)

But quite a cocktail of mischievous characters!

foxybrown - 15 Jun 2018 15:06:11 (#16 of 49)

Did Ben Kim switch teams at the end?

phantlers - 15 Jun 2018 16:43:23 (#17 of 49)

No he crawled back.

foxybrown - 15 Jun 2018 18:48:25 (#18 of 49)

Oh I thought he bought Taylor and Mafee food

phantlers - 15 Jun 2018 20:24:19 (#19 of 49)

I think that was Oscar, Taylor's biggest investor and former love interest.

foxybrown - 15 Jun 2018 20:53:26 (#20 of 49)

Oh yes so it was, sorry it was late
