Blimey. I wasn't expecting that.

TRaney - 08 Jun 2018 12:40:19 (#5 of 58)

I'll be disappointed if Bourdain didn't do a death wank

Reading Kitchen Confidential made me laugh even more at people who order steaks well done.

TRaney - 08 Jun 2018 12:53:53 (#9 of 58)

Why's that?

Tadagee - 08 Jun 2018 12:55:13 (#10 of 58)

He basically explained how all the worst bits of crap meat that would otherwise be binned are saved for people who order steak well done.

He was certainly no fan of Trump.

RudyVoeller - 08 Jun 2018 13:01:31 (#12 of 58)

That's a shocker.

Fucking hell. That's really really sad. He was a lovely funny writer.

Tadagee - 08 Jun 2018 13:07:30 (#14 of 58)

He certainly made ridiculously hard work seem fun.

He said that "the unwashed warthog rectum he ate in Namibia and the fermented shark he ate in Iceland are among "the worst meals of [his] life."

It's on Wikipedia so it must be true.

I wonder what wine goes with unwashed warthog rectum?

AlanII - 08 Jun 2018 13:11:15 (#16 of 58)

"Our finest vintage. Not a drop is drunk until it is eight weeks old".

"Tomorrow's wine today!"

I wonder what wine goes with unwashed warthog rectum?

It's less about what sort than what quantity.

TRaney - 08 Jun 2018 13:15:15 (#19 of 58)

I wouldn't be surprised if one of those trendy new wines set up by former management consultants following their passion isn't already called Warthog Rectum

RonniePickering - 08 Jun 2018 13:18:52 (#20 of 58)

I ordered it once - but I sent it back because there was a hole in it.
