Glastonbury 2019

The Cure will play very long versions of everything. If A Forest runs less than 10 minutes I will eat my modem.

Stormzy will do that bizarre arm flapping thing (isn’t there some medication he can get for that?, poor love).

Him out of The Killers will be wearing his magic Mormon underpants.

Glastonbury is here again!

Christ, The Killers are still doing their thing.

MorrisMitchener - 26 Jun 2019 11:23:39 (#2 of 1165)

Never understood the appeal of The Killers.

Still, hey, look good news!

Maybe they'll schedule something a bit more exciting. A silent, empty stage perhaps.

TRaney - 26 Jun 2019 11:24:24 (#3 of 1165)

<Checks watch>

Is it still 2008?

CloakAndDagger - 26 Jun 2019 11:28:56 (#4 of 1165)

Damn, I'll be away for Glastonbury this year and am not turning my phone on whilst I'm away. I shall miss MM's thread. Make it a good one please, I'll catch up on my return.

MorrisMitchener - 26 Jun 2019 11:43:41 (#5 of 1165)

Thanks. I will, as always, be living in this thread for 3 days. The old i-player will be there, waiting for you.

widenation - 26 Jun 2019 11:46:43 (#6 of 1165)

Ah Wu-Tang Clan (thumbs up). The Streets? - again I'm surprised they're still going.

FrankieTeardrop - 26 Jun 2019 11:48:27 (#7 of 1165)

What else is he going to do?

FrankieTeardrop - 26 Jun 2019 11:48:52 (#8 of 1165)

Mik Artistik's Ego Trip will be there, too.

widenation - 26 Jun 2019 11:53:13 (#9 of 1165)

This Is The Kit are worth a look.

MorrisMitchener - 26 Jun 2019 11:56:00 (#10 of 1165)

The Courteeners very high up on the bill. Kind of the Roy Chubby Brown of music - a shocking amount of people just love them, everyone else - baffled.

NotACloggie - 26 Jun 2019 12:03:03 (#11 of 1165)

Did anyone catch the A-Z of Glastonbury last weekend? The sodding footie went into extra time beforehand, so luckily we got to see the Foo Fighters again, but it fizzled out shortly after that.

Luckily it's repeated this week.

Peacock - 26 Jun 2019 12:34:03 (#12 of 1165)

looking forward to it!

helenskywalker - 26 Jun 2019 12:46:20 (#13 of 1165)

It's a cracking line up, for the most part. Can I recommend my boy, Loyle Carner? He is excellent live (and runs a cookery school for kids with ADHD).

NotACloggie - 26 Jun 2019 12:46:39 (#14 of 1165)

Me too! I tried, together with about a million people, to get tickets last year, but was unlucky. I'll console myself with watching it on the BBC.

And having a shower and a poo in my own home.

TRaney - 26 Jun 2019 12:48:39 (#15 of 1165)

If you're going to do it like that maybe have the poo first

Peacock - 26 Jun 2019 12:49:12 (#16 of 1165)

LANGA METHODIST CHURCH CHOIR looks interesting

headliners are dull TBH

Towlie - 26 Jun 2019 12:55:31 (#17 of 1165)

Mik Artistik's Ego Trip will be there, too.

That cunt.

Peacock - 26 Jun 2019 12:59:53 (#18 of 1165)

Burzum are threatening to play

Tadagee - 26 Jun 2019 13:01:29 (#19 of 1165)

Just had a look; a few things i'd have liked; Fat Bob and his Cures, Chemical Brothers, Neneh Cherry, Morcheeba, Faithless.

Just scrolling down though. It's BASTARD HUGE these days!

Acts sir, Fahsands of em

FrankieTeardrop - 26 Jun 2019 13:01:46 (#20 of 1165)

What have you got against him, Towlie? My mate was his bass player - they got on really well.
