Keep The Customer Satisfied is an awesome song.

Ebadlun - 31 Jul 2021 11:42:51 (#11 of 150)

I like Dangling Conversation, but the Frost/Dickinson name drop sticks in my craw for some reason.

HouseOfLametta - 31 Jul 2021 13:38:56 (#12 of 150)

The Boxer

Homeward Bound

Hazy Shade Of Winter

Mrs Robinson (which has spookily just come on the radio).

Frank Lloyd Wright

MorrisMitchener - 31 Jul 2021 15:12:13 (#13 of 150)

He didn't really need Garfunkel did he? He had a nice enough voice and he wrote all the brilliant songs. The Boxer and I Am A Rock my joint faves.

tasselhoff - 31 Jul 2021 15:17:45 (#14 of 150)

It wouldn't be the same without Garfunkel's voice.

Tinymcsmithy - 31 Jul 2021 15:18:09 (#15 of 150)

Wasn’t Garfunkel the muso though?

Tinymcsmithy - 31 Jul 2021 15:19:10 (#16 of 150)

Ah no, that was Simon. Yeah, Garfunkel’s voice is sublime.

upgoerfive - 31 Jul 2021 15:19:47 (#17 of 150)

There was a fantastic documentary which I can't find online any more.

Opening shots were from a train, to the soundtrack of America.

Made during the time when they were falling out with each other, and neither of them seemed to know why.

It was tragic, and heartbreakingly beautiful at the same time.

tasselhoff - 31 Jul 2021 15:21:19 (#18 of 150)

Garfunkel informed my daughter that he gets on swimmingly with Simon, and they regularly phone each other.

HerrWalrus - 31 Jul 2021 15:22:14 (#19 of 150)

The Wiki entry on Garfunkel is very interesting. Didn't realise half the troubles he's been through.

<<He didn't really need Garfunkel did he?>>

they split up 50 (!!!) years ago. Simon has done quite well since.

cf. Graceland, for example.
