Who is Labour's oddest MP?

CorbZy! is excluded from this discussion because one more Corbyn thread might suck us into the vortex.

It's Kate Hoey isn't it?

Thread ends.

Is Skinner still around?

breakfast - 27 Nov 2018 18:02:25 (#2 of 56)

Yes, he is.

lapsedcat - 27 Nov 2018 18:02:52 (#3 of 56)

Skinner then.

Who's that one in Derbyshire, obsessed with the Jooz?

Roger Godsiff is somewhat of an oddball.

AshburtonAbove - 27 Nov 2018 18:06:30 (#8 of 56)

Frank Field is a bit odd isn't he.

This is Kate's latest achievement - from Peston's Twitter

Important vote tomorrow night on Offensive Weapons Bill on whether to impose total ban on high velocity rifles. This had been recommended by police. Government had originally accepted police advice. But there was then a rebellion by 74 Tory and DUP MPs - ...

- and Labour's Kate Hoey - who put down an amendment allowing continued possession of these highly destructive guns, so long as they were stored securely...

AshburtonAbove - 27 Nov 2018 18:12:30 (#10 of 56)

Blimey, she is a bit freaky.

TinyMcOtter - 27 Nov 2018 18:12:39 (#11 of 56)

Skinner’s fairly straightforward. Old style protectionist lefty.

Chukka is very odd (and completely inept). Phillips is a weirdo in a kind of self aggrandising manner.

But yeah, Hoey.

Arjuna - 27 Nov 2018 18:15:32 (#12 of 56)

I read bits of Jess Phillips's Everywoman: One Woman's Truth About Speaking The Truth and thought she was a bit odd, actually even the title makes her sound a bit odd.

sticklebrick - 27 Nov 2018 18:16:30 (#13 of 56)

Barry Gardiner? Only odd in that he reminds me facially if Benny Hill.

SaffronSunrise - 27 Nov 2018 18:16:50 (#14 of 56)

Abbott, Vaz (K), Field, Mann, Gardiner, Lammy, Philips, McDonnell. Kinnock, Kendall, Bryant, Beckett, Hoey

for either

ought to be Tories, have gone a bit mad recently or just seem a little bit strange

I quite like a few of these though - Barry Gardiner, Kendall, Lammy & Abbott (up until she's gone a bit strange, which she has, tbf)

uranrising - 27 Nov 2018 19:43:40 (#15 of 56)

...obsessed with the Jooz?

Why do you misspell it like that?

mingmong - 27 Nov 2018 20:27:06 (#16 of 56)

Kendall is utterly forgettable, but I wouldn't describe her as weird

Lammy is attempting to emulate the girth of his predecessor, but has nothing like the personality or political stature of Bernie Grant.

McDonnell is an intelligent and principled politician, the brains behind Corbzy

Abbott and Phillips are overpromoted and overexposed respectively. Both mediocrities, as are most of the others listed.

Gardiner, Field and Hoey are genuine odd-balls

Why do you misspell it like that?

In honour of that great skiffle band, Corbzy and the Jooz.

freddy - 13 Dec 2018 18:56:29 (#18 of 56)

Hoey is my MP. I wish she wasn’t

DonkeyOT - 16 Dec 2018 18:41:00 (#19 of 56)

Still as long as they're Labour - that's all as matters, as far as I'm concerned.
