Which English county have you never visited (for England posters)?

I think I have two left on the list - Northumberland and Cambridgeshire. No, thinking about it, I've not been to Tyne and Wear either - it is a county, right?

If Rutland still exists, pretty sure I’ve never been there.

mememe - 16 Apr 2019 18:03:20 (#2 of 178)

I've been to Rutland, but I've never been to Cornwall. I think I've been everywhere else.

Scotland.

Probably loads. If driving through without stopping counts as 'visiting' then that ticks a lot off, if not then there are dozens I haven't visited.

I don’t think I’ve been to Northumberland either. But I think it’s the only county I’m missing.

hailesaladdie - 16 Apr 2019 18:07:44 (#6 of 178)

Think Herefordshire is the only one for me.

Cordelia - 16 Apr 2019 18:07:49 (#7 of 178)

County Durham too, I realise looking at a map.

Ah, applies again to me. Obviously I have a large blank for the north-east.

Lovely place for a holiday.

Also, there a few big gaps here. Are they also counties?

I'm surprised/shocked that Shadders hasn't been to all those locations. I had the impression he was constantly visiting places - I must have been thinking of someone else.

Lawlsie - 16 Apr 2019 18:13:36 (#13 of 178)

Essex, Kent, Lincolnshire, Northumberland, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Leicestershire.

Probably many more but those spring to mind immediately.

Shadrack22 - 16 Apr 2019 18:13:58 (#14 of 178)

Mostly abroad places, HerrW.

RosyLovelady - 16 Apr 2019 18:14:08 (#15 of 178)

He confines himself to all that swanky foreign stuff, Herr.

Lawlsie - 16 Apr 2019 18:14:34 (#16 of 178)

Bet he eats and like all that messed-about with forrin muck too!

cozzer - 16 Apr 2019 18:14:57 (#17 of 178)

Isle of Wight

Not sure I've been to South Gloucestershire since it stopped being Avon.

the East Riding of Yorkshire

Ah. One of those?

TommyDGNR8 - 16 Apr 2019 18:18:49 (#19 of 178)

Didn't you live in London at one point, Lawls? How is it possible to live there and never find yourself in Essex or Kent??

RosyLovelady - 16 Apr 2019 18:22:17 (#20 of 178)

It's generally well worth working hard to avoid going to Kent and Essex, in my opinion.

Mind you, the old Central line train ride to Ongar was fun, and that's in Essex.
