Is there a form of Woo you believe in?

I'm inclined to believe that certain people have premonitions that come true. Whether that's down to the spirit world, intuition, or the brain making sense of a million received data signals, is another matter.

One of my twins (for argument's sake we'll call her Twin1) recently kept stopping what she was doing to look at her foot. She would then hold her foot out to me.

There was nothing on her foot but she wouldn't leave it alone.

The Mrs then said check Twin2's foot. Lo and behold Twin2 had a splinter in her foot. The same one Twin1 wouldn't leave alone.

I'm sure there's nothing more than anecdotal evidence for the mysterious Twin link but I think I saw evidence of it.

My wife often reads my mind. We'll be out for a walk, say, and there's no conversation. I'll be thinking about someone or something and she'll suddenly ask me something about them or it. Usually low level stuff like I'll wonder what's for dinner and she'll ask me what I'd like for dinner. Probably not woo but more familiarity.

That the realm of the dead and the realm of dreams are actually the same place - because it is only in dreams that we can meet and converse with the dead

#4 no you haven't.

HouseOfLametta - 30 Aug 2019 16:09:33 (#7 of 273)

Brexit.

I’m inclined to believe that some people have premonitions or dreams of future events.

That some people pick up a particular atmosphere in certain places due to the imprint of previous events.

That ghosts of some kind (not necessarily spirits of the dead) exist in some form.

FrankieTeardrop - 30 Aug 2019 16:15:05 (#9 of 273)

Objective reality

Jacob_Richter - 30 Aug 2019 16:15:25 (#10 of 273)

#6

Yes I have.

FrankieTeardrop - 30 Aug 2019 16:16:01 (#11 of 273)

How do you know they were ghosts and not, say, devils pretending to be ghosts, or Loki playing a trick on you?

wickeltisch - 30 Aug 2019 16:16:50 (#12 of 273)

That ghosts of some kind (not necessarily spirits of the dead) exist in some form.

I believe in sock stealing ghosts. They always steal only one sock and leave you with an incomplete pair.

I don’t, for instance, think that Garrick’s account of the haunted flat at 1 Equity Road was either deliberately fabricated or just a product of a hyperactive imagination.

Jacob_Richter - 30 Aug 2019 16:17:31 (#14 of 273)

I don't pretend to have an explanation. But I have seen them on multiple occasions over a number of years.

FrankieTeardrop - 30 Aug 2019 16:17:49 (#15 of 273)

"I don’t, for instance, think that Garrick’s account of the haunted flat at 1 Equity Road was either deliberately fabricated or just a product of a hyperactive imagination."

Loki, again. He gets about.

foghorn - 30 Aug 2019 16:18:33 (#16 of 273)

Karma.

Shadrack22 - 30 Aug 2019 16:18:47 (#17 of 273)

Are you filling in until cozzer arrives Frankie?

Tadagee - 30 Aug 2019 16:19:04 (#18 of 273)

I believe in miracles,

Where you from. you sexy thing?

FrankieTeardrop - 30 Aug 2019 16:19:30 (#19 of 273)

It's the difference between the experience of the inexplicable, and the explanation of the experience.

FrankieTeardrop - 30 Aug 2019 16:20:24 (#20 of 273)

"Are you filling in until cozzer arrives Frankie?"

I lack the causticity.
