the article and the links suggest that you can identify species with this technique. there is no suggestion that you can isolate enough DNA to match DNA from a known person at the specific loci used in DNA profiles. and there is no hint of an ability to obtain a mixture sample with DNA from a number of individuals that would contain enough DNA to allow probability analysis of the presence of one known person's DNA.

which is to say, I think we're safe for the indefinite future from after-the-fact analysis of airborne DNA samples.
