The 'is it wrong to have a bath with a mouse' thread

This thread has existed for 3500 posts now and I don't know what it means, nor have I any intention of clicking to find out.

What long running threads do you find it easy to ignore? Bonus points if their purpose is obscure.

You tease. You've peaked at least once. Admit it.

Moschops - 20 Jul 2017 17:17:54 (#2 of 23)

Why do you think that one was such a winner lapsed? What was the 'lightning in a bottle' that eluded some of your other whimsical threads?

WillodeanKnuth - 20 Jul 2017 17:18:04 (#3 of 23)

Oddly enough when this came up in my subscriptions just now I thought it was that one and wondered how the hell it had got into my subscriptions list.

lapsedcat - 20 Jul 2017 17:19:13 (#4 of 23)

God knows, 'Chops. But it's flattering that it caused so much indifference that it inspired another thread.

sure and this thread be keeping many a sad soul

alive alive O in hiz public transport journey

thoough this vale of tears as the wheezing

bus inside passes the wet trees and poles

sour worried forehead pressed against the window

what if it has not yet reached

the level of "A Couple Of Hamburgers"

this couple of pasties

will stay our hunger awhile...

wickeltisch - 26 Jul 2017 15:28:46 (#6 of 23)

Meow!

..reaches for salt cellar

Faraway - 26 Jul 2017 16:48:28 (#8 of 23)

HAS OGBERT GOT OFF WITH APRIL YET

I have never opened a 'Lost' thread or a 'Brexit' one, although these seem enormously popular. I avoid the first as I have absolutely no idea what it would contain, and I avoid the second as I know exactly what it would contain.

Meanwhile I await the continuing adventures of the mouse community with baited breath.

Tomnoddy - 10 Aug 2017 23:02:54 (#10 of 23)

Isn't there a lurkers' thread any more?

lapsedcat - 18 Aug 2017 08:37:23 (#11 of 23)

Why is this thread still here? It's awfully confusing.

WillodeanKnuth - 18 Aug 2017 08:41:44 (#12 of 23)

It is performing a useful public artistic service. It's like a Banksy.

HouseOfLammo - 18 Aug 2017 08:52:42 (#13 of 23)

Wanksy more like.

WillodeanKnuth - 18 Aug 2017 08:58:13 (#14 of 23)

Subversion with a serious accident prevention message! Wouldn't we all like to be like Wanksy?

HouseOfLammo - 18 Aug 2017 09:25:26 (#15 of 23)

Too late, Michael Hutchence, David Carradine!

Agaliarept - 18 Aug 2017 09:54:04 (#16 of 23)

I have never opened a 'Lost' thread or a 'Brexit' one, although these seem enormously popular.

Ditto the Lost threads.

saskia - 13 Dec 2017 14:48:18 (#17 of 23)

I thought I must have unsubscribed, but no! Any chance of a Christmas Bonanza, Lapsed?

thismorning - 14 Dec 2017 03:53:18 (#18 of 23)

Lapsed is on a Christmas Island beach waiting for the annual migration of red crabs. Pina Colada stains on the front of his purple shirt. Other stains on his pleated mustard yellow Bermuda shorts.

clammy - 18 Dec 2017 13:08:12 (#19 of 23)

Just wish he and Mac would come back, what a couple of selfish arses, leaving us to our untalented selves,

saskia - 18 Dec 2017 14:31:25 (#20 of 23)

Has Mac gone too...jeesus.
