Lost at the Bottom of the World

Post your whimsy here

Cake on mahoosive telly sounds good.

Dubris - 07 May 2019 22:03:26 (#1042 of 2009)

I'm going to demonstrate self-care by going to bed. Goodnight Losts, lurkers and Lady Gaga frock-wranglers.

Ricolas - 07 May 2019 22:08:38 (#1043 of 2009)

I still think of our 32" telly as being massive. I am behind the times.

My poor ill neighbour has now has six stents fitted to his heart arteries. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone being fitted with so many. Still, alive is good.

mazylou - 07 May 2019 22:23:21 (#1044 of 2009)

Oh dear, Ric.

I am just in from eating some very delicious food cooked by the lovely Monica Galetti. See restaurant thread for details. Wonderful.

Sabacious - 07 May 2019 22:33:59 (#1045 of 2009)

is intrigued but none the wiser.

I have been in the company of eminent neurologists, old and not quite so old, and wine.

mazylou - 07 May 2019 22:46:01 (#1046 of 2009)

She took longer than I thought to post.

Sabacious - 07 May 2019 23:00:42 (#1047 of 2009)

Ah...

limegreen - 07 May 2019 23:21:09 (#1048 of 2009)

By the end of today I just wanted to tweet 'I don't give a shit about the Met Gala and I don't understand what camp is either, it seems'. But we're not supposed to tell people we don't give a shit about the thing they won't shut up about, so I refrained.

nemo75 - 08 May 2019 02:18:58 (#1049 of 2009)

Nobody gives a shit.

Ginmonkey - 08 May 2019 07:25:00 (#1050 of 2009)

I was interested for about 20 minutes because the costumes were interesting.

I was also amused to see, even when given an explicit dress code that pretty much precludes "smart black suit and tie" many men attending just reached for the default.

Cordelia - 08 May 2019 07:54:50 (#1051 of 2009)

It’s raining. Ugh. Don’t wanna.

limegreen - 08 May 2019 08:12:35 (#1052 of 2009)

I am going to buy myself a giant salad from Chick for my lunch to make up for the rain. It will feature fried chicken, falafel, sauces and a weird bread that is a bit creepy.

Ginmonkey - 08 May 2019 08:14:31 (#1053 of 2009)

Creepy bread?

goldfinch - 08 May 2019 08:15:25 (#1054 of 2009)

I'm having a tooth out today. I'm not very happy about it.

Ginmonkey - 08 May 2019 08:19:45 (#1055 of 2009)

Ice cream for tea though!

Sorry to hear about that finch, having a tooth out is horrible - are you getting it replaced at all?

limegreen - 08 May 2019 08:24:59 (#1056 of 2009)

It has weird holeyness. It's a sort of flatbread with, I think, a bit too much water. It's odd.

Heckler - 08 May 2019 08:25:03 (#1057 of 2009)

I'm having a tooth out today

Had four out recently in one go (not trying for one-upmanship), it's definitely worth doing all they tell you to avoid dry socket as the dentist painted a picture of dry socket that made it sound incredibly unpleasant .

Stop saying dry socket.

DRY SOCKET

goldfinch - 08 May 2019 08:31:15 (#1059 of 2009)

Stop saying it!

I don't know about a replacement yet though definitely not an implant.

Rendered - 08 May 2019 08:32:49 (#1060 of 2009)

I also had 4 or 5 taken out at the same time. The one at the front had an implant but the ones at the back were just left to heal. There was never any mention of d** s******.
