I forgot to move for the lights and was plunged into gloom. It was atmospheric.

I got home to find a letter for a referral for my dodgy tendons. Helpfully, it informed me that if I haven't booked my appointment by 4pm today they'll assume I no longer need it and I'll be discharged.

So that's all good.

I assume you will be taking this up with the senders of the letter.

I shall, at 10am on monday morning when I really should be doing other things. 'Appointments on a first come first served basis' doesn't sound hopeful.

Dubris:

Tossed in gram flour and spices, they are great as a savoury snack or teamed with a creamy Khichdi for full meal impact. Rice flour adds extra crunch to the cauliflower, but you can leave this out if you don’t have it.

Ingredients (Feeds 2)

1 medium cauliflower

2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp gram flour

1 tbsp rice flour

Half tsp turmeric

Half tsp chilli powder

Half tsp carom seeds

Generous sprinkle of salt

Method

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.

Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces and wash well in a sieve.

In a large mixing bowl, tip in the rest of the ingredients bar the salt. Mix. Then toss in the cauliflower and mix well with your hands.

Now, line a baking sheet with parchment and place the cauliflower on it in a single layer. Roast for 30 minutes

Ricolas - 17 May 2019 20:21:38 (#1986 of 2009)

I tend to steam the cauliflower for 5 minutes beforehand.

Ah. Thank you.

I am now home, having got fed up of the voles for the day. My dinner will be less exciting than yours.

I had tartiflette, again, having made vast amounts earlier this week. It has now all gone and I'll have to make it all over again very soon.

Dubris - 17 May 2019 20:35:45 (#1989 of 2009)

Poor Sab - trapped in a circle of tartiflette.

Sabacious - 17 May 2019 20:37:30 (#1990 of 2009)

Its a potatoey oniony garlicky curse.

I must make tartiflette.

I have to work out what to do with 7 left over raspberry muffins in the mean time.

Sabacious - 17 May 2019 22:02:54 (#1993 of 2009)

A big pile of muffins.

Dubris - 17 May 2019 22:03:55 (#1994 of 2009)

If I were closer, Holly, I'd gladly help you in that working out process.

Ricolas - 17 May 2019 22:11:10 (#1995 of 2009)

Who doesn't like a big ol' muffin every now and then?

helenskywalker - 17 May 2019 22:19:59 (#1996 of 2009)

Freeze 'em.

Ricolas - 17 May 2019 22:41:08 (#1997 of 2009)

Muffin expertise there.

Dubris - 17 May 2019 22:53:47 (#1998 of 2009)

And time for bed. Goodnight Losts, lurkers and muffin fanciers.

Sabacious - 17 May 2019 23:03:57 (#1999 of 2009)

Muffin expertise requires zircon-encrusted tweezers in order to poot forth intimate quantities of dried muffin remnants.

helenskywalker - 17 May 2019 23:06:53 (#2000 of 2009)

Yes.
