Lost potatoes

Baked, roasted, boiled and mashed laboured whimsy and occasional seriousness - now with root vegetables.

Its a graveyard smash.

DejaLu - 01 Jan 2020 20:48:12 (#2 of 1587)

I’m a nerdy bedwetter but I have no idea what math rock is. Is it a more specialised form of college rock?

Dubris - 01 Jan 2020 20:48:58 (#3 of 1587)

And I'm a nerd but I avoid bedwetting.

HouseOfLametta - 01 Jan 2020 20:56:07 (#4 of 1587)

"Math Rock".

You don't have to hear it, do you?

Towlie - 01 Jan 2020 20:57:24 (#5 of 1587)

Yes. Don Cabellero, June of 44, Rodan, Shellac, Sweep the Leg Johnny, Geiger Counter, American Heritage....DO IT.

HouseOfLametta - 01 Jan 2020 21:00:41 (#6 of 1587)

Or is it calculus?

<Brian Sewell pout>

I do wonder ... and then it passes. My need makes a note, then loses it. I have that sort of need about my person

SliceyClause - 01 Jan 2020 21:07:07 (#8 of 1587)

Also Polvo, Hella and Tera Melos.

MFEYMX?

In other music news, I was listening to Meshugah today. Not music I like but the drummer is bonkers good.

Dubris - 01 Jan 2020 21:09:00 (#9 of 1587)

#7 - You need a pocketbook to write things in. Like the names of Math Rock practitioners, for example.

Sabacious - 01 Jan 2020 21:09:26 (#10 of 1587)

Bleed by Meshuggah has the most bonkers drums.

SliceyClause - 01 Jan 2020 21:11:37 (#11 of 1587)

Yes I was watching a jazz drummer talk about Bleed and Clockworks and how it's all these mental polyrhythms and he can play them all like a metronome and at 100mph.

Towlie - 01 Jan 2020 21:14:27 (#12 of 1587)

Meshuggah are amazing.

Sabacious - 01 Jan 2020 21:15:44 (#13 of 1587)

And now Dracula on BBC1 - he sounds like Henning Wehn, which is distracting.

HouseOfLametta - 01 Jan 2020 21:18:10 (#14 of 1587)

He sounds like Aleksandr Meerkat.

Dubris - 01 Jan 2020 21:19:26 (#15 of 1587)

What do you expect a Mitteleuropan undead aristocrat to sound like? Del Boy?

SliceyClause - 01 Jan 2020 21:21:03 (#16 of 1587)

I have been playing a new computer game called "Disco Elysium" and in the first five minutes have woken up in my underpants with a hangover and hit on an attractive younger woman who told me to fuck off.

It's all a bit too close to home.

Although a highly recommended game if you like wordy, pen-n-paper still RPG games.

HouseOfLametta - 01 Jan 2020 21:21:10 (#17 of 1587)

Christopher Lee.

It's not very scary, is it?

Just a bit gross.

Sabacious - 01 Jan 2020 21:22:17 (#18 of 1587)

I like the nun.

HouseOfLametta - 01 Jan 2020 21:22:49 (#19 of 1587)

I was thinking that.

Hmmmmm.

Verdigris - 01 Jan 2020 21:22:56 (#20 of 1587)

Dracula bum-fun nun.
