So lost, so long, and thanks for all the fish

So long and thanks for all the fish

So sad that it should come to this

We tried to warn you all but, oh dear.

Boiled cod in parsley sauce, tinned peas, mashed laboured whimsy and occasional seriousness.

I have taken my mum to her first group mad person session. She didn't hate it and will go again.

HouseOfLametta - 30 Jan 2020 16:58:36 (#12 of 1620)

Awww.

Sabacious - 30 Jan 2020 16:59:19 (#13 of 1620)

Good news.

Dubris - 30 Jan 2020 19:29:54 (#14 of 1620)

Hello Losts. I'm a bit short on whimsy just at the minute, having got home and checked a voicemail that I'd earlier ignored on the basis that it was probably the previous car's garage ringing to offer me a service (as they did yesterday), only to find that it was actually a paramedic telling me that my mother was being taken into A&E for checks.

I've since rung the hospital and she's okay-ish. Now I have to ring back later to see if she's likely to be sent home this evening. In the meantime I've packed a bag and now I'm all twitchy.

It sounded as though she would be sent home tomorrow if not tonight, so a drive to Kent is predicted for some point this evening.

Please talk nonsense at me. I need a distraction.

HouseOfLametta - 30 Jan 2020 19:42:14 (#15 of 1620)

Um.

She's probably having a whale of a time!

Sabacious - 30 Jan 2020 19:43:01 (#16 of 1620)

Take her a sausage.

Dubris - 30 Jan 2020 19:43:06 (#17 of 1620)

I didn't think to ask if they had a sweary Russian there too.

Sabacious - 30 Jan 2020 19:43:32 (#18 of 1620)

In Kent? A sweary Kosovan perhaps?

Dubris - 30 Jan 2020 19:45:24 (#19 of 1620)

Quite possibly.

Sabacious - 30 Jan 2020 19:45:59 (#20 of 1620)

More likely a racist old git from Thanet, hey ho.
