Ta-dah!

Dubris - 16 Mar 2020 12:27:22 (#2 of 2032)

I see what you did there.

RosyLovelady - 16 Mar 2020 12:29:02 (#3 of 2032)

Was that your impression of Gabriel's horn, Lippy?

Sabacious - 16 Mar 2020 12:29:43 (#4 of 2032)

Splendid thread title.

Time for my fizzical.

blaithin - 16 Mar 2020 12:29:44 (#5 of 2032)

I made this reference at work on Thursday and was met with blankness. My bluestocking pal was at a meeting so it was the wrong crowd.

Sabacious - 16 Mar 2020 12:30:19 (#6 of 2032)

You're wasted on them.

blaithin - 16 Mar 2020 12:31:38 (#7 of 2032)

And, to repeat myself, the vulnerable are not all old. Compromised immune systems exist at every age. A robust 80 year old infecting a teenager receiving chemo is just as culpable.

limegreen - 16 Mar 2020 12:31:53 (#8 of 2032)

All my literary references are lost on my colleagues. It's very sad.

Sabacious - 16 Mar 2020 12:32:46 (#9 of 2032)

And, to repeat myself, the vulnerable are not all old.

I don't think anyone is suggesting otherwise, are they?

MadamGwenver - 16 Mar 2020 12:33:03 (#10 of 2032)

My top tip for the day is that if you have medication for anxiety, BLOODY REMEMBER TO TAKE IT.

I missed yesterday's dose. I'm noticing it right now.

blaithin - 16 Mar 2020 12:36:44 (#11 of 2032)

Sab, older people saying they've survived worse and will carry on as normal kind of are.

blaithin - 16 Mar 2020 12:37:03 (#12 of 2032)

I forgot mine yesterday too, Gwen.

LippyPongstocking - 16 Mar 2020 12:41:01 (#13 of 2032)

Was that your impression of Gabriel's horn, Lippy?

It was mainly a bit of trumpetting to announce my arrival on the thread, Rosers; but under the current circumstances could also be taken as heralding the imminent arrival of Judgement Day.

Dubris - 16 Mar 2020 12:44:33 (#14 of 2032)

I was very much seeing jazz hands.

Now for some fresh air.

RosyLovelady - 16 Mar 2020 12:45:37 (#15 of 2032)

I was suitably stirred anyway, Lippy.

On the topic of anxiety medicine, I wonder if I'm taking too much Pregabalin in these dark days. I might do some proper, respectable worrying if it weren't for the drug, and get a deservedly punishing dose of The Fear too.

LippyPongstocking - 16 Mar 2020 12:45:56 (#16 of 2032)

#14

Jazz hands are taken as read, Dubs, as I'm doing them almost perpetually.

Sabacious - 16 Mar 2020 12:54:42 (#17 of 2032)

Oh I see, Bla. Yes, that sort of misplaced stoicism is not at all helpful right now.

mazylou - 16 Mar 2020 12:56:59 (#18 of 2032)

Splendid title.

TheVoiceOfReason - 16 Mar 2020 12:58:00 (#19 of 2032)

Aythangyew.

It just suddenly occurred to me, I’ve no idea how. I’m usually awfully uncreative at this sort of thing. Maybe the crisis is stimulating new depths in me!

mazylou - 16 Mar 2020 13:11:23 (#20 of 2032)

You mean... you have a SOUL?
