Unfortunately the Dolphins in venice is fake news.

HerrWalrus - 20 Mar 2020 18:35:04 (#2 of 51)

Shame. I suppose fake news will go on as strong as ever.

In Trump's Press Conferences alone.

People in Krakow can see the Tatra mountains. They're usually hidden by smog.

The regular street beggars seem to have disappeared from the local train station. No idea if that's because donations have all dried up, or they've been moved to isolation somewhere?

The Black Death changed Europe forever, often gets the credit for the Peasant's Revolt. The Great Plague of 1665 shoved the newly graduated Newton into isolation, where he forgot about the shite the university was teaching and spent his time watching apples from trees and began writing some of his best work on calculus, motion, and optics.

I've noticed and wondered about that as well.

From a friend in Krakow when I asked him if this was true.

Hahahaha, with good weather it is possible to see the mountains. our smog is mainly due to so called low emmisions and is seasonal. We probably had a few days recently when you could see tatras

Me too, and for whatever reason it hasn't been reported in the local media, that I've noticed. You'd think re-housing the homeless would be a matter of civic pride; apparently not.

HerrWalrus - 21 Mar 2020 13:02:49 (#11 of 51)

Will people still feed the ducks?

TV shows now download in real time.

Used to be that when I downloaded some half hour show from Sky it literally took a minute. Friday night the show in question stopped several times for a long time.

Must now make sure download has actually completed before watching.

Wild boar in Barcelona

How you gonna get back, cozzer ?

FleurDuMal - 21 Mar 2020 13:10:00 (#14 of 51)

Far less traffic on the roads, therefore far fewer emissions.

I understand the major streamers have agreed to reduce quality to take the strain off the interwebz.

Good times for local shops. A lot of our criminally under used local food shops are suddenly very busy.

Story picked up by Bill:

Newspapers used as bum wipes are blocking sewers. I think we should be told which newspapers are most commonly being used.

Think of all the people who won't now be born because the people who would have been their parents don't accidentally meet on a crowded commuter train or in a pub.

Equally, all the people who will now be born because their parents have to stay indoors and make their own entertainment rather than going out.

Think of all the houses going on the market as the divorce rate rockets.

bossab2 - 21 Mar 2020 13:51:04 (#20 of 51)
