Have you yelled "flatten the curve ! at aanyone yet in our brave new Social Distance World?

I fantasize about it. But am too timid.

Waste of time, most of those stupid enough to be breaking the rules will think you're referring to the diet they should be on.

Others will think you are referring to roundabouts, or round-Earthers. Or Tories in general. Sigh. Rewinds tape measure.

I have a sombrero somewhere. If I flatten that, will it be over by Easter?

They told us in Officer Training never give an order unless you know it will be obeyed. Which I ignored of course. We would have lost the war anyway.

Harrumph. I was in the park today engaging in my permitted short local daily exercise outing with my emotional support dogs (Officer) when some plank a gentleman approached me wearing a mask. I’d seen him around, but just as someone to nod to. He asked me quite sternly why I wasn’t wearing a mask (a quick look at the other people in the vicinity showed that they were not masked either, in fact he was probably the only masked person around). I tried to explain that a mask is best suited for someone who is already infected so that they don’t pass it on, or is unavoidably in regular closer than 2metres contact, but he wasn’t listening and started ranting at me as if I’d gone out in mediaeval times without a bell. He only shut up and stormed off when I said Excuse me you’re closer to me than you should be. By way of context, I have invested in a mask and worn it a couple of times when going to the local shops, so he may have seen me wearing it and decided I’m a carrier.

I'm sure it made him feel very important and virtuous.

Universal mask-wearing is being advised more and more btw. It certainly doesn't hurt, in conjunction with other measures.

tasselhoff - 04 Apr 2020 19:49:10 (#14 of 42)

but that guy sounds weird

SinnerBoy - 04 Apr 2020 21:27:33 (#15 of 42)

He sounds somewhat unpunched, to me.

virgil5 - 05 Apr 2020 05:02:12 (#19 of 42)

Single spaced, in the style of the times.

I'm well aware of what is being advocated in various parts of the world. Precisely what standard of face mask (there are several types) are you advocating? Do you have access to a suitable supply?
