helenskywalker - 08 Jul 2020 14:44:02 (#2 of 2030)

Sloppy seconds!

LippyPongstocking - 08 Jul 2020 14:45:40 (#3 of 2030)

Thloppier thirds!

Dubris - 08 Jul 2020 14:47:12 (#4 of 2030)

We could do this thread in terza rima.

No? Thought not.

Cordelia - 08 Jul 2020 14:49:25 (#5 of 2030)

Your salad sounds lovely Helens.

Meanwhile, in FFS It's July news, I have had to stick the heating on briefly.

slicey - 08 Jul 2020 15:10:01 (#7 of 2030)

I am hoping to avoid being shunned by Patters by keeping the heating off.

goldfinch - 08 Jul 2020 16:47:29 (#8 of 2030)

Heating? It's so humid today and I have annoyed the cat by turning the fan on.

Cordelia - 08 Jul 2020 17:10:18 (#9 of 2030)

This is me though. A human icicle the moment I stop moving.

limegreen - 08 Jul 2020 17:12:08 (#10 of 2030)

Jumper on. That's the extent of my efforts.

Crayola - 08 Jul 2020 17:21:05 (#11 of 2030)

I only cooled down getting wet while walking to the post office. The post office itself was a sauna. Only 10 minute queue though which was better than it might have been.

I've had my lid did and instantly feel much better.

helbel - 08 Jul 2020 17:28:10 (#13 of 2030)

I’m wearing a fleece today. It’s cold. Not turn the heating on cold however.

Ricolas - 08 Jul 2020 18:12:11 (#14 of 2030)

Supper has taken an odd turn. Emergency haggis, and sprouts.

I am slightly annoyed that our dishwasher has died. I have resurrected it before, with new wiring and inlet valves etc. But I think I have to admit that it is, as they say, life-expired.

Hooray! for unexpected expenses...

HouseOfLametta - 08 Jul 2020 18:29:37 (#15 of 2030)

You can spend your £500 covid recovery cheque £10 off at Nandos Mon-Wed on it.

Poor ol' Rishi. He thought that was such a great climax to his speech. Like building up to a world beating trumpet of a fart, and instead producing a sloppy squeak.

And then following through.

Ginmonkey - 08 Jul 2020 18:47:22 (#17 of 2030)

I am not as critical as most. It is not a lot but may help a bit. Small cafes and restaurants are on their knees.

limegreen - 08 Jul 2020 18:49:40 (#18 of 2030)

Yeah. I feel for the people who are stony broke and needing to use a food bank, but the poor pubs and restaurants too. It's a part of our culture we can't just let die. It's all very difficult.

Ginmonkey - 08 Jul 2020 18:53:07 (#19 of 2030)

We will probably use it to get lunches out during week - a few local cafes could do with the custom.

How do we get our vouchers?
