I was about to go semi-pretentious with an Echo and The Bunnymen lyric. Thanks for saving me!

helenskywalker - 26 Sep 2020 17:19:07 (#2 of 2013)

Oh, I've thought of doing that one! Do it next time.

helbel - 26 Sep 2020 17:33:14 (#3 of 2013)

Yay! Ravenclaw FTW.

I’ve just spent the afternoon playing with dyeing yarn in someone’s garden. So glad I wore thermals and another three layers including fleece. It’s bloody cold out there.

Sabacious - 26 Sep 2020 17:57:07 (#4 of 2013)

What’s Ravenclaw? Sounds suspiciously Harry Potter.

Necking back beer and fizz here.

MadamGwenver - 26 Sep 2020 18:18:16 (#5 of 2013)

We are working through the films one Saturday afternoon at a time. My knitting keeps getting interrupted by a terrified Egbert requiring a hug.

Cordelia - 26 Sep 2020 18:34:45 (#6 of 2013)

I have declared it Gin O’Clock chez Cordelia. The curry is simmering and smells fabulous.

HollyGolightly - 26 Sep 2020 18:36:04 (#7 of 2013)

Time for red wine here. We have leftover takeaway curry bolstered by coconut dhal from the freezer.

Catspyjamas17 - 26 Sep 2020 18:41:36 (#8 of 2013)

Cheese and onion burger, curly fries and beans. And white Rioja being quaffed.

Rendered - 26 Sep 2020 18:41:45 (#9 of 2013)

I have walked from Whitechapel to Greenwich which was quite the hike.

Cordelia - 26 Sep 2020 18:42:08 (#10 of 2013)

That is a few miles!

Charisse - 26 Sep 2020 18:53:53 (#11 of 2013)

We are celebrating our anniversary this evening, with all the meat from Smokestak. I am fearing I may have made a mistake not opting for Hawksmoor at Home.

Crayola - 26 Sep 2020 19:12:41 (#12 of 2013)

I bought some stuffed beef roll things from the market which I've cooked with a tomato and red wine sauce and had with rocket salad.

I used some of the bag of breadcrumbs from the calimari day to thicken the sauce.

Crayola - 26 Sep 2020 19:14:37 (#13 of 2013)

I do take self-catering quite seriously.

helenskywalker - 26 Sep 2020 19:17:41 (#14 of 2013)

You do *now*. I seem to remember we stretched to olives and crisps, back in the day.

Crayola - 26 Sep 2020 19:19:22 (#15 of 2013)

And rose.

helenskywalker - 26 Sep 2020 19:41:07 (#16 of 2013)

That too.

Cordelia - 26 Sep 2020 19:42:16 (#17 of 2013)

I appear to have made the best curry I have ever made!

And with home made chapatis.

Ginmonkey - 26 Sep 2020 19:51:29 (#18 of 2013)

We're having lamb ragu. Although at the moment I am shovelling lemon and chilli bombay mix in to my mouth.

We do not take self catering holidays seriously and tend to have "bread and things from the market" the rare days we don't eat out.

Although I assue in this covidy times eating out is less an option.

Cordelia - 26 Sep 2020 19:56:52 (#19 of 2013)

And now I am watching Hot Fuzz for the millionth time.

Crayola - 26 Sep 2020 20:14:20 (#20 of 2013)

We had lunch out. Much is open here. If it weren't for everyone being in masks you'd probably not notice any difference.
